Triple P Farms Horsemanship Lessons

Come and join us as we learn to be confident and strong leaders through our interaction with horses. Welcome! My name is Amanda Patton.

I was born and raised here in Northwest Arkansas; a country girl at heart aside from the tolerance of snakes and wasps. Horses have always been a part of our family; my grandparents took horses to Colorado for annual hunting trips, my parents were pleasure riders and participated in community activities, my sport discipline was horsemanship where I studied hunter jumper, western pleasure, halter

and trail. My senior year of high school was spent working at a small horse farm that bred and showed pleasure horses. The next 16 years of my life were focused on growing a family and working in the children's ministry at our church. The last 10 years I have been studying different natural horsemanship theologies, auditing and participating in horsemanship clinics as well as taking equine related courses at the University of Arkansas. This, in combination with my ministry leadership training, has helped me to develop a horsemanship program that can help teach valuable life skills in leadership.

The last three weeks have been packet full of a wide variety of horse knowledge. I’m so thankful for those that have opened opportunities for our 4-H kids to experience and grow in the equine industry. The first few weeks of the Homeschool Class have been awesome- as all the students are eager to learn. The 4-H kids have grown tremendously in the Wilbur case study. Our lesson kids have been working hard to get the horses conditioned and beautiful. The teen leaders have been putting in hours to make their good better and better best.

We are on week 4 of classes 🤠. We have learned the importance of putting relationships first, communication skills and horse behavior.
