*These services are for all male cats.
*Services are unlimited, meaning they are available to everyone; the public, other rescues, and TNR groups. You can also schedule any number of cats.
* Friendly cats MUST be in secure carriers.
* Ferals, Semi-ferals, unfriendly cats MUST be in a trap or trap transfer cage.
* Microchipping is also available for $15
*To schedule, please call All Pets Hospital at 724-832-8885 and leave a message. Someone will return your call to schedule your appointment.
* This program is available only for the month of August.

1 week update!!
A week ago yesterday, this family came in fighting for their lives. The kittens did not move much, they stayed still and lifeless for 2 days while we pumped them full of nutrients. Mom was scarfing down everything put in front of her and needed to go on a starving cat protocol of tiny meals many times each day.
Today they are unrecognizable. Full of life, running, playing with toys, and feeling 100% better. This is what 1 week of good vet care, a clean environment, and good food can do! Momma kitty's rodent ulcers are half the size they were when she arrived. It's obvious that eating and cleaning her kittens is now a pain free experience for her. She just wants head butts and all the love. This momma is so grateful for her new life.

Yesterday we spent the day rescuing 25 adult cats who desperately needed us in Fayette County. Half were living outside in a dog kennel, the other half in a mold covered home extremely unfit for living. This is a very sad case. The cats are suffering from a huge assortment of issues, many have ear hematomas and tightly collared, infected ears. They appear to have been suffering for quite some time. We have also found some sizable umbilical hernias, decaying teeth, gum disease, stomatitis, tumors, cherry eye, upper respiratory infections, severe diarrhea, conjunctivitis, fly strike, malnutrition and dehydration. Painful matting and dirty coats have only made them feel worse. Let's hope they are as grateful for baths as they were for rescue...

Please help us turn their worlds around! Together we can provide them with vet care, nutritious food, and a clean environment. Eventually, when they are healthy enough they will need to be spayed and neutered before going into new homes. Most are older and will need dentals.
These cats have been through a lot they never asked for and spent too long waiting for help. We had to make space because it didn't exist. We had to make time because there was none. We now need to fundraise because they are going to be a very expensive group. When you look at their faces, you know they're worth it all.

Meet Maverick! A sleek house panther who’s ready to fly right into your home and your heart. If there’s one thing Maverick loves, it’s LOVE! Maverick is super affectionate and wants all the cuddles and attention he can get. He flies well with dogs but would prefer to share his hangar with other independent cats who will give him space, or to be the solo feline pilot. Maverick is FIV+. There are some misconceptions about FIV so we’ve included some information in the photos. FIV is spread by deep bite wounds. FIV+ kitties can safely share a household with FIV negative cats without transmitting the virus. FIV+ cats should receive an annual checkup with a vet, and should be taken to the vet if they get sick—in other words, the care they receive is the same that any other pet should be receiving. FIV kitties deserve loving homes too!

20 adoptions?! How exciting!! Thank you to our amazing adopters, you're the real heroes.
Some highlights:

Gertrude, picture 1 has feline leukemia and came to us very sick with a huge throat polyp. That sweet girl has come so far and we're ecstatic she finally found a family of her very own!!
Butterfly, picture 8, came to us from a terrible Fayette County hoarding situation with an inner ear polyp that required a very serious ventral bulla osteotomy surgery. She fully recovered from her traumatic past and we're so proud of her!!
Picture 10, Tango finally went home after being with us for 1 1/2 years, she came from our big CAN hoarding case. She really deserved this happily ever after!
Picture 14, Calipso the toothless wonder cat, continues to amaze us. At 12 years old he found the perfect retirement home.

This handsome tabby is Sevastion! He came into our rescue in very rough shape, but he is healthy now and we are excited for the opportunity to give him the happily ever after he deserves. Sevastion was trapped outside of a real house of horrors. When he came in he had horrible stomatitis that needed to be treated with a full mouth extraction. At that time he was also neutered and tested positive for FIV. Even though he is FIV+ he can live with FIV negative cats. He currently lives with several cats and 3 dogs. FIV is transmitted thru deep bite wounds and mating—neither of which are a concern with our toothless, neutered boy. An FIV+ cat should receive regular checkups with a vet, and be taken to see a vet if they become ill—just like any other pet.

Sevastion is the most lovable cat! He loves to get head kisses and give you kisses back. He’s such a good natured boy that he even does well for baths and nail trims. He loves his wet food, but being toothless does not prevent him from also eating dry food. He has been healthy since he had his teeth removed. You can often find Sevastion’s tongue adorably sticking out. He just wants a forever family that will love and take care of him which is something he didn’t get previously.

How can we prevent the suffering of innocent cats and kittens for years to come? We spay and neuter every single one we can!!
It's the kitten season free spay/neuter clinic!

Bring a SCOOPABLE litter or PURINA cat/kitten chow donation and we will spay or neuter your cat for free!
This clinic is by appointment only, with limited slots available, Tuesday, July 9th, at Spay It Forward in Greensburg. Rabies and FVRCP vaccines, flea treatment, ear mite treatment, and optional ear tip are also included with your alter!! Ninth Life Neuter Clinic is designed only for cats who would not be altered without it. Please don't take advantage of the program if you are financially able to alter your pets.
Here are the rules:

🐾 Friendly cats MUST be in a secure carrier!
🐾 Feral cats MUST be in a trap or trap transfer cage!
🐾 Up to 4 cats per household, no rescues or TNR groups.
🐾 At least 1 scoopable litter/purina cat/kitten food donation for EACH cat receiving services is required.
🐾 When all slots are full (and these fill fast!) please email [email protected] to be put on the waiting list for the next clinic
🐾 No call, no shows will be banned from all future clinics. Don't waste these valuable resources!
🐾 If you even might not be able to show up, do not schedule. We are beyond frustrated with the no shows.
🐾 Kittens must be over 2 lbs. If your cat is a senior (8+) pre-anesthetic checkup and bloodwork with your regular veterinarian is always recommended before any surgery. (These services are not available at this clinic)
🐾 If the cat you bring arrives with live fleas, you will be charged for a capstar pill (which kills fleas immediately) to prevent an infestation of all other cats in the building.
🐾 A patient, appreciative attitude is a must! These are volunteer run clinics that are paid for by our rescue. If you are rude to our volunteers or clinic staff, they won't want to participate in this program. Without them we cannot offer these services to decrease the cat population in our communities. Please don't be the bad apple!

I have no idea why our post was removed by Facebook. This is not spam, it does not go against community standards. It is real and it is our lives! We will still get all donations from the removed post.

It's been a week from hell.....we rescued 63 cats from inside 1 Westmoreland County residence. This included 13 kittens and 50 adult cats, 16 of those adults being pregnant females. It's a very sad hoarding case with the most fleas we've ever seen at one time. The cats are suffering from very severe flea allergy/dermatitis, flea anemia, various skin infections/wounds, heavy internal parasite infestation, rodent ulcers, mammary tumors, and ear infections. When we agreed to take on this situation, a "single digit rescue" meaning under 10 cats was planned for. 63 cats was extremely unexpected and we are still feeling unprepared. We took this case on when we were already full due to some extreme circumstances, unfortunately not all of the kittens made it out alive.
Our volunteers have been scrambling like crazy all week long. We've spent some long days at the vet and even longer nights bathing, flea combing, and medicating this huge undertaking.
With situations of this nature, we always bring along our HPO friends at All But Furgotten. Thanks for always being there and for taking on 8 cats!
This isn't going to be an easy endeavor, there is a long road ahead for these guys.
Their spays/neuters alone will cost $5,270. The medications/vet visits needed to get them healthy will total even more than that, plus food and litter.... wow. Being eaten alive by parasites requires a lot of extra nourishment, their bodies are trying to keep up.
We rely heavily on our supporters during emergencies like this! You play just as much of a part in saving their lives as we do!
