Here’s how we use “check-in” as our verbal cue to pull to the side of the trails. • 1 short whistle cues “stop” • Find a place to pull to the side of the trail • Give “check-in” cue • Click-treat, every time to reinforce behavior • Ask how many riders there are, so you can hold position or continue hiking
