STUDY HIGHLIGHTS THE URGENT NEED OF AN EFFECTIVE TREATMENT PROTOCOL FOR YE**TY EARS IN CATS AND DOGS... HELLLLLOOOOOOOOO !!!!
An ear infection is no joke. A very irritating and painful thing to have.
Sadly, ear issues are consistently among the top 3 reasons for pet owners seeing the vet today.
And studies show up to 70% of them today are due to yeast.
Unfortunately, since the discovery of antibiotics nearly 100 years ago, the human and pet health industry has been completely obsessed with bacteria, specifically in their obliteration, as if we could somehow conquer something we can't see and reproduces every 20 minutes.
The result is, still today, the inclination for most vets facing a bad ear is to reach first for antibiotics (to stop a "possible" infection) and steroids. The latter WILL reduce the symptoms...temporarily, but the CAUSE, a yeast overgrowth, will remain unperturbed. In fact, with its foe the bacteria being chemically napalmed with the antibiotics, the yeast can now grow with gusto. As soon as those steroids wear off, you'll be going back for more, a horrible cycle so many cat and dog owners today can sadly testify to.
This is the finding of a recent study:
"A total of 29 dogs were treated with either fluoroquinolone (FQ) or piperacillin-tazobactam (PT), both of which the study said substantially reduced bacterial levels.
But while yeasts were isolated in only 6 of 45 ears treated prior to the drugs being administered, that number jumped to 29 afterwards.
All but one of the yeasts were Malassezia pachydermatis, with the other being Candida dubliniensis"

You see, a yeast overgrowth in the ear is merely an indicator your dog has ear biome has gone awry. Now, with their struggle made all the worse by antibiotics (a struggle which Helsinki University revealed often begins in the gut flora....), the resident yeast is free to do as it pleases, unperturbed.
The Vet Time is calling for new approaches to treating these ear conditions?! Well, here it is vets:
STEP 1: Is your dogs ear condition yeast related?
To check, pick up a rapid home test, swab the ear, post it off and you have your answer in 48hrs.

STEP 2: If yeast, treat with Propythium Ear Cleaner. This is a mechanical solution to your dogs ye**ty issues and it is highly effective. So effective in fact that if you have a positive test for a ye**ty ear, we will refund you purchase if Propythium doesn't sort it.

The thing is, the current azole medication currently recommended for such conditions is not without its critics, particularly when used internally. And, it seems yeasts (like bacteria) are building up a tolerance to their usage (heads up folk constantly using chemical anti-yeasts...).
Pythium on the other hand isn't a chemical solution, it's a mechanical one. Pythium is a cool little single-celled organism that normally lives in the soil. When applied, it consumes all yeast and fungi in the ear, no matter which species is present. Better still, it leaves the resident good bacteria in place (though release bacteriostatic enzymes while feeding, reducing the likelihood of any bacterial infections while it cleans up). Once done, it harmlessly leaves the ear, allowing the normal biome to return.
You will know Pythium is working as all that dark brown wax will start coming out, which you clean away.
It's such a wonderful product and safely works on all fungal conditions (from bad ears to ye**ty skin and paws to dandruff, ringworm and athlete's foot!) on ALL animals, coming in an ear cleaner, moisturising oil and effervescent tablets for your big hair dogs or horses!
The product is under patent. We are the only suppliers of Propythium out there. This IS the solution the vets are looking for. If you know one, please let them know where we are looking for stockists!

NOTE 1: Unlike chemicals that work quickly, Pythium takes 4-5 days to start working. So if the ears are bad, please don't wait for Pythium, vets have great ways to cool things off in the meantime. Once under control, you go in with Propythium to kill the infection.
NOTE 2: Want to prevent those ear infections coming back? Studies show they are far more prevalent in pets fed high-carb, chemically preserved kibble (as it ruins the biome). Thus, your first step to long-term protection is moving your dog or cat over to a fresh, biologically appropriate (high meat, low carb) diet, the food they are designed to eat.

NOTE 3: Still coming back even though you're on the good stuff? that's not unusual. Here's the thing - as we highlight above, the health industry is not aware that many ear conditions begin in the gut - the gut flora goes wrong, for whatever reason, resulting in a shift in the skin flora.
We call this a "dysbiosis", a word many of us are familiar with today.
But when we think of a gut flora imbalance / dysbiosis, all we tend to think about it bacteria. But yeast is the other half of the puzzle. While they number significantly less in there, they are far bigger (20-200 times bigger). If it's a yeast dysbiosis your bacterial probiotics will not touch them.
We have the internal solution for yeast dysbiosis too. It's called Yeast Defeat. You can learn about it here
