Owning a dog should be a special and rewarding experience. If you've never owned a dog before, you'll want to prepare yourself by doing plenty of research and understand the commitments involved. If you've never owned a poodle, you'll want to also do your research and understand the differences between them and shedding dogs. In order to make owning a dog a wonderful experience, you'll want to start preparing for training BEFORE your canine family member enters your home for the first time. Dogs need to be trained with clear expectations. The best way to make sure this happens is to prepare those who will be working with the dog, so that the dog has consistent interactions with humans. A little preparation will go a long way - even if it is just making a list of the commands you will use with your dog and posting it on the fridge. When a dog is trained, he/she will be an even more wonderful addition to your family. Again, there are many great resources on the internet and great books about training poodles. Not all breeds learn in the same way, so it's a good idea to make sure your resources are specific. For those in Utah that want a good trainer that holds classes, we recommend Jan Perkins with Utah Live Oak Obedience. BREEDING WITH LOVE
It all started with grandpa and his love for animals. He owned his own veterinary practice and often his children and grandchildren would get to help as he took care of dogs and cats. It’s been several years since grandpa passed away, but his legacy of loving animals continues. Although we’re not veterinarians ourselves, we do breed our dogs with health and temperament in mind. We feel it is important to not only take care of a dog’s physical needs, but their mental & emotional needs as well. As part of our family, they join in the back yard fun as we work in the garden, play with cousins & friends, or have get-togethers. They often accompany us on trips (whether they be to the store or to a hiking trail). WHELPING
We've been breeding dogs since 2010. We are fascinated with all kinds of dogs, but have put our focus into Beagles and Poodles. We believe in whelping indoors where we can control sanitation a little easier. We remove dew claws, have their tails docked, administer the necessary puppy shots and most importantly allow the mother to be their main care-taker until they are ready to venture out on their own. PUPPY SOCIALIZATION & TRAINING
We keep our puppies well socialized and training begins at an early age. By breeding at home, we feel that we can create a more healthy environment where our pups are socialized in a happy house and yard environment where they begin learning how to be positive contributions to society. We believe in training our dogs and treating them with respect. A well-trained dog is a happy dog and knows what is expected of him/her. All of our puppies begin crate & potty training before they are 8 weeks old.

AND THIS IS IT…..Next Month I WILL BE CELEBRATING 14 YEARS of Evergreen Canine LLC/Guddog Family! IT’S TIME FOR A T-SHIRT GIVEAWAY!!!!!

I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed so many aspects of running Evergreen Canine LLC since 2010! I have made some amazing connections with so many wonderful dog lovers. I have traveled across the US delivering some of my puppies, I have THE MOST INCREDIBLE puppy owners that I LOVE getting reports from. I was able to place hundreds of puppies with companions that have LOVED and CARED for them so well. I have placed MANY service and therapy dogs and these DOGS HAVE BEEN the BEST PART. My heart will always treasure those updates! KEEP THEM COMING.

Along with the joy of raising puppies, I have also faced EXTREMELY DIFFICULT situations…. Parvovirus, Dog bites, trauma, accidents, damage to property, more accidents, death, injuries, more trauma, more death and so much that just can’t be written, but can only be felt. PTSD about sums some of it up! This has been a family endeavor that I could not have done without their help.

But, through it all I have just persisted and continued through the challenges and ALL YOUR MESSAGES, TEXTS, PHOTOS are what have kept me going as long as I have. So, thank you!

GUDDOG FAMILY WILL CONTINUE TO BOARD & TRAIN & have other fun plans for all the dogs that come to visit! I’ll announce them soon! YESSSS! I absolutely love having your dogs come to my home, I could have 10 dogs sitting right with me while I type!

I have no future plans to breed any longer. This has been a lonnnnnnggg and very deliberated decision. I WILL MISS BREEDING PUPPIES AND miss so many aspects of it…. but, it is just time. I will help a few people that I have arrangements with for a couple more litters and keep in touch with excellent breeders that will continue to offer good lines and well bred pups.
