At the beginning of this video, you can see Boston Terrier puppy, Goose, really pulling on the leash. With some well-timed verbal praise and rewards, Goose figures out that staying at my side and walking on a loose leash pays really well!

As time goes on, I would praise more and have her walk for longer periods of time in between rewards. Timing, patience, and observation skills are an important part of reinforcing loose leash walking.
