My Story
My name is Sarah and I am the owner and trainer for Valley Dog Training. I have been training professionally for 16 years. I have a formal education in behavior and behavior change, having received an AS in Exotic Animal Training and Management as well as a BS in Applied Behavior Analysis (the science of behavior change). As my AS degree implies, I also worked with a variety of species in zoological settings, training husbandry behaviors to help the animals participate in their own care. I spent 12 years working with everything from birds to carnivores to primates. I continued to train dogs throughout my time working in the zoo world, and as of 2019, officially went back to dogs full time, and moved my business from Santa Barbara up to the Santa Ynez Valley.
