Cream AKC Golden Retriever Puppies
Montana and Duke are breeding this week. Both parents are cream colored. Duke is a little over 90 pounds, Montana is around 60 pounds. Rather than show a picture or video of them breeding, I thought it better to show Montana with her last litter of cream AKC Golden Retriever Puppies out of Duke from January of this year.
With them breeding this week, we expect they will be born around the end of September and be ready to go to their forever homes around Thanksgiving.
Montana and Duke show all clear in their DNA testing on Animal Genetics Golden Retriever Disorder panel. It is rare to have two dogs all clear and barring a mutation, their puppies should be all clear as well. We also check both parents' hips and elbows and submit them to OFA for grading. Montana's hips are rated excellent, Duke's hips are rated Good. Both have elbows rated Normal which is the only positive rating from OFA on Elbows as I understand their grading system.
In addition to some very good health characteristics, both parents have championship pedigrees per k9data.com.
We are taking reservations for puppies. A $250 deposit will reserve a puppy of your chosen gender. We will invite you out once they are four weeks of age to choose the puppy you want to take home a few weeks later. We try to let you pick in the order of deposits received. Once you pick a specific puppy, we ask you to increase your deposit to a total of $750. The balance of $1500 is due on pickup for a total of $2,250.

This is Reagan & Duke’s last girl AKC Golden Retriever puppy on our walk today, checking out the cows and horses on our ranch. I have a deposit on her and she is supposed to leave Saturday. Assuming that happens we are sold out and do not expect any more puppies until late this year.
She is about 11 weeks old and 20 pounds. She has a green collar. I have nicknamed her Vegas since I named her older sisters Reno & Tahoe. I went with Vegas since she looks to be a desert sand color. She will probably have a new name this weekend.
This will be Reagan’s last litter although we have multiple daughters out of her. Duke will continue to be our stud. All parents that we breed go through our health-screening process which includes x-rays of their hips and elbows submitted to OFA.org for certificates showing they are free of dysplasia which causes lameness. We also test the parent’s DNA using a Golden Retriever Disorder panel and can share their results with prospective buyers.
Our parents have championship pedigrees. Our puppies go to our vet at least 2-3 times for brief exams, age-appropriate vaccinations, and deworming at 4, 6, and 9 weeks if they are still here.
If you are interested in a future litter, we can take deposits of $250 to hold you a spot. Otherwise, please like our page and you should see our announcements when we have new litters later this year.
Susan came out yesterday to check out our two remaining girl AKC Golden Retriever puppies. She had a great time and picked the one with the yellow collar. As you can see by the video, the two sisters out of Reagan and Duke look almost identical. We have one girl and two boys left out of Reagan. There are photos and videos of the boys in other posts. After that, it may be eight months or more before we have puppies as we are trying not to breed puppies during the hot summer.
Reagan and Duke have championship pedigrees per k9data.com. We health screen the parents because we have bought inexpensive puppies from un-screened parents in the past. Our experiences with that approach resulted in early lameness and some large, surprise vet bills for surgeries that were more than $1,000 each. The dogs were just as sweet but they did not live healthy pain free lives.
We x-ray the parents hips & elbows and submit to OFA.org for review and certificates that they are free of dysplasia which causes early lameness. We also test the parent’s DNA against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel which identifies several gene markers that lead to early blindness and other disorders.
Our puppies go to our vet at 4, 6 & 9 weeks of age for brief exams, age-appropriate vaccinations, and deworming. We also started each puppy on NexGuard for flea prevention on April 1st, once they were old enough. Each puppy goes home with a copy of their vet records.
We are conveniently located in Valley View, TX, on I-35, about an hour north of Dallas and Fort Worth. Please call Steve at 940-736-0150 to make an appointment or for more information.
The Youngs came out yesterday with their young girls to pick a boy puppy from the three we had left. They had a great time. They ended up picking Montana’s last cream boy they are calling George or Georgie. We still have the two darker boys in the video out of Reagan & Duke. One of Reagan’s girls left today so we are down to one Reagan girl left. We are now sold out of Star and Montana’s litters. It will probably be the end of the year before we have more puppies as we decided to take the summer off and avoid the heat.
Reagan’s three remaining puppies are ten weeks old today. The remaining girl looks similar to the lighter Reagan boy in this video, maybe a little lighter and a couple pounds smaller. All puppies have been to our vet three times for age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming and brief exams. We also started them on NexGuard flea treatment on April 1, once they were old enough.
Reagan is in this video and weighs in the low 70s. Duke, the father is cream colored and weighs about 90 pounds. Most of Reagan’s puppies are beige in color with the exception of the darker boy that is close to her color. We only breed dogs that have been through our health-screening process. That includes x-rays of their hips and elbows and certificates from OFA.org that they are free of dysplasia which causes early lameness. We also test the parent’s DNA against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel to lessen the chance that we breed parents with known health issues they would pass onto their puppies.
We are conveniently located in Valley View, TX on I-35 about an hour north of Dallas and Fort Worth. Please call Steve at 940-736-0150 to schedule a visit or for more information. We had 26 puppies out of three litters and are down to three. I do not expect the last three will be around much longer.
AKC Golden Retriever Puppies 9 weeks old
Here are Reagan and Duke’s remaining AKC Golden Retriever Puppies at their nine week checkup at our vet yesterday. They are loving and playful. This was their third visit. They get age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming and a brief exam. They are also on NexGuard for flea prevention as of this week.
We have two boys and two girls left out of Reagan. We also have a cream boy out of Montana that is a little older but about the same size as Montana is a smaller dog than Reagan.
Our parents have championship pedigrees per k9data.com. We only breed health screened parents. Our parents have had their hips and elbows x-rayed and reviewed by OFA.org to show they are free of dysplasia which can cause early lameness. We also test the parent’s DNA against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel.

AKC Golden Retriever Girl Puppies playing
This video is from Cody & Jennifer visiting our AKC Golden Retriever Puppy Heaven Tuesday to pick out a girl. They chose Montana’s last girl with the orange collar. The other two girls in the video are Reagan & Duke’s two remaining girls that will be nine weeks old this Friday. As you can see they love people and are fun to play with. Reagan’s two girls are the last girls we will have until Fall or Winter. We are taking the summer off as the puppies do not like the heat.
Both parents have championship pedigrees. We health screen all parents before breeding them. This includes submitting x-rays of their hips and elbows to OFA.org for certificates they are free of dysplasia. We also test the parent’s DNA against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel. We do this because we have bought inexpensive puppies in the past from breeders who did not do the testing we do. As a result we got lame dogs and some large, surprise vet bills.
We take the puppies to our vet for age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming and brief exams at 4, 6, & 9 weeks of age. We have also put all of these puppies on NexGuard flea preventative now that they are old enough for it at eight weeks of age.
We also have three boys of similar colors available, not in this video. There are separate photo posts of the available boys.
We are conveniently located in Valley View, TX, about an hour north of Dallas and Fort Worth on I-35.
Please call Steve at 940-736-0150 to schedule a visit and for more information.
Star’s AKC Golden Retriever Puppies playing
9 week old AKC Golden Retriever Puppies playing
This video is of the Cook & Marroquin families who came up to visit our AKC Golden Retriever Puppy Heaven yesterday. They were both wanting creams, in fact they had picked the one they wanted before they got here but I wanted to expose them to all of Montana’s cream puppies in case they formed a stronger bond with another puppy. They were both here more than 30 minutes playing with the puppies although they both took the one they had chosen remotely. The Marroquin’s came from San Antonio like the Herrings earlier and the Cooks are from Rowlete.
We had one more Montana girl leave shortly after they both left so we have two girls and one boy available out of Montana & Duke. We also have two boys and two girls probably beige and one red boy out of Reagan, and one blonde boy out of Star remaining. Duke is the father of all of them and is cream colored.
For more information or to schedule a visit, please call Steve at 940-736-0150.
All puppies come from parents with championship pedigrees per k9data.com. We get regular feedback about how sweet and smart they are.
We also health screen the parents for several disorders Golden Retrievers are known for starting with hip and elbow dysplasia. OFA.org has reviewed their hips and elbows and gave us certificates they are free of dysplasia which causes lameness. We also ran the parent’s DNA against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel.
Now for the Fine print: In a couple cases the mother’s are carrier’s for one recessive gene per their DNA test but the father Duke is All Clear so about half of the Star and Reagan puppies may be a carrier for one disorder. Since they are recessive traits, they should not suffer from them but if they were bred to a a dog with the same disorder, their puppies could have it. Not usually a big deal but someone made an issue of it recently so we wanted to fully disclose, again. We are happy to make the reports available to serious prospects and I believe we have previously
These are Montana & Duke’s remaining AKC Golden Retriever puppies, four girls and two boys. They are nine weeks old today. My wife says we have too many puppies as we had three litters in a period of a month. To keep her happy, I am reducing the price on these several hundred dollars in the interest of getting them to a good forever home sooner than later. Three of these puppies left today, March 23rd. We have one boy with the Green collar, and two girls, Lavender and Orange left.
Both Duke and Montana go through our health screening process before we breed any adult. We do this to try and lessen the chance of the puppies developing commonly known health issues in Golden Retrievers. This includes X-rays of their hips and elbows with OFA certifications. Montana is rated excellent, Duke has the second highest score at Good, meaning no signs of dysplasia which usually results in early lameness. We also ran the parents DNA against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel and we are happy to report both were all clear. We can share these reports and some have been posted on this page.
These puppies go in to our vet tomorrow for their third set of age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, along with a brief exam.
We are located in Valley View, TX, about an hour north of Dallas and Fort Worth on I-35. Please call Steve to make an appointment or for more information. Thanks
These are Star & Duke’’s remaining AKC Golden Retriever puppies in their outside kennel. We take them out during the day so they have more room to run around and bring them in at night. They also go on 20 minute walks on our ranch most days. They have exposure to adult dogs, cats, horses and cows. We have two boys and two girls left. One girl may be cream, the other three are likely blonde or a cream blonde blend. They are ten weeks old. We think it is time they get to their forever homes so we are willing to make some good deals on these puppies. Call Steve at 940-736-0150 to discuss.

These puppies come from parents with championship pedigrees per k9data.com. Both parents went through our health screening process where we X-ray their hips and elbows and submit to OFA for review that they are free of dysplasia which causes lameness. We also tested the DNA of both parents via a Golden Retriever Disorder panel. In this way we try to lessen the chance of breeding puppies that will have undesirable health traits.
These puppies have been to our vet three times for age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming and brief exams.
Here are two of Star and Duke’s AKC Golden Retriever puppies on our 20 minute walks on our 43 acre ranch. They mix right in with our adult dogs and love the walks. It is a good way for them to learn how to follow.
We have two boys and two girls left out of Star’s litter. We recently dropped the asking price on them by about 20%. We recently made individual posts with photos of the last four.
Both parents have championship pedigrees per k9data.com. In addition, we health screen the parents before we breed them to lessen the chance of them inheriting one or more known health disorders common to Golden Retrievers. The screening process included x-rays and OFA certification that their hips and elbows are free of dysplasia. We also test the parents’ DNA against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel.

Puppy Heaven AKC Golden Retriever Puppies
The Hill family came out on Sunday to visit our AKC Golden Retriever Puppy Heaven. They wanted to meet all the puppies which was a challenging task with three litters. We brought all six of Reagan’s out along with some from Montana & Star’s litter. It was difficult to make a decision with that many puppies. They ended up choosing Reagan’s boy with the red collar who they will call Buckley. Reagan is the dark adult dog you see in part of the video. I think Buckley will be blonde colored.
All puppies have championship pedigrees per k9data.com. We health screen all parents before we breed them to try and lower the chance of breeding several known health issues common in Golden Retrievers and passed on from parents to children. Our screening includes X-rays of hips and elbows and OFA certification that they are free from dysplasia which causes early lameness. We also test the parents DNA against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel.
All puppies go to our vet at least twice for brief exams, age-appropriate vaccinations, and deworming. We start vaccinating for Parvo at four weeks of age. Fortunately, to the best of our knowledge, none of the 150+ puppies that we placed in the last seven years have contracted Parvo. All puppies are socialized and handled daily. While not perfect, the older ones have pretty much stopped any pooping in the house as we maintain a routine where they go outside to poop, etc.

AKC Golden Retriever Puppies running and walking in our pasture
Here are two of Star & Duke’s AKC Golden Retriever puppies on a 20-minute walk on our ranch today. They will be nine weeks old tomorrow, so they are approaching 20 pounds. The darker one is a girl I call Blue Angel and the lighter and slightly smaller one is a boy with a Black collar. They are doing well with our walks and follow well off leash until we get home and they know I am about to put them up. Both will likely be blonde colored. Their Dad is Duke, a 90-pound cream.
Both have been to our vet twice and have a third appointment tomorrow for age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming and a brief exam. I started them on a 30-day flea pill once they were old enough at 8 weeks. We treat our grounds for fleas where they spend most of their time but that is impractical on a 43-acre ranch, hence the flea pill to try and ward them off in our wet areas such as creeks and ponds.
Both parents have championship pedigrees. In addition, before we breed any parent, they go through our health screening process whereby we try to screen out several know health issues with golden retrievers that are believed to be inherited from the parents. Our screenings include DNA testing and OFA certification based on X-rays of their hips and elbows that they are free of dysplasia.
For more information or to schedule a visit, please call Steve at 940-736-0150. We are conveniently located in Valley View, TX, about an hour north of Dallas and Fort Worth on I-35. We look forward to meeting you and your family.
AKC Golden Retrievers wanting to play
This is a video of Star & Reagan’s remaining AKC Golden Retriever puppies. Duke is the father. Star’s puppies are 8 1/2 weeks old. Reagan’s are five weeks old so they are all still here. Reagan has four boys and two girls. Star has two girls and two boys available. One girl may be cream colored, the rest are likely blonde colored.
We just brought them in from being outside after some significant rain the previous day and a half. While still somewhat muddy outside, we have overhead and side tarps on the kennels so they have some dry areas in addition to the dog houses and other cover in those pens. They really prefer to be outside at this point although they don’t mind coming in at night. We are developing a routine whereby they learn to go potty outside during the day. Star’s puppies have pooped maybe once inside in the last week between them. They are learning to go to sleep and wake up around 7 am.
These puppies come from championship pedigrees per k9data.com. Most of Stars are between 15 and 20 pounds, Reagan’s are approaching ten pounds. We put their parents through our health screening process. There are several health issues in the Golden Retriever breed that are thought to be hereditary in nature. We screen the parents to lessen the chance of breeding those health issues into the puppies. Our screening includes OFA certification of their hips and elbows being free of Dysplasia. We also check their DNA against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel. Having bought puppies from un-screened parents, we know first hand about large surprise vet bills, surgeries, and lameness from dysplasia.
All puppies go to our vet at least twice for age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a brief exam. Star’s puppies have started going on 20 minute walks on our ranch.

Cream AKC Golden Retriever Puppies
These are Montana & Duke’s Cream AKC Golden Retriever Puppies nursing earlier this week. They are now seven weeks old as of this Thursday. By now her milk is drying up. They have been eating solid food for four weeks.
We have four girls and three boys available out of Montana. They have been to our vet twice for brief exams, age-appropriate vaccinations, and de-worming.
The parents have championship pedigrees per k9data.com. All parents are health screened and we only breed those that pass. Our screening includes X-rays and OFA certification that their hips and elbows are free of dysplasia which causes lameness. We also check the parent’s DNA against a Golden Retriever DNA Disorder Panel. Both Montana and Duke get the best ratings of all clear on their DNA. Montana’s hips are rated Excellent, Duke’s are rated Good, the second best rating by OFA.
To schedule a visit with our puppies or for more information, please call Steve at 940-736-0150. We are conveniently located in Valley View, TX, about an hour north of Dallas and Fort Worth on I-35.
Here are two of Star & Duke’s AKC Golden Retriever boypuppies on a walk yesterday crossing the creek. This was maybe their first or second time. They are eight weeks old and about 15 - 18 pounds.
At this age, I start taking them on our 20 minute walks with the older dogs on our 43 acre ranch. They are exposed to horses and cows, creeks, and ponds. They are physically able to go earlier but for the most part I wait until they are old enough to take a flea pill, at least this time of year. We treat the areas we keep them outside around the house for fleas but it is impractical to do so over the path we take on our 43 acres, not that we stick to a beaten path.
We have two boys and two girls available out of Star’s litter. We also have younger litters with more AKC Golden Retriever puppies available. The puppies have championship pedigrees per k9data.com. We only breed adult parents that pass our health screening criteria. Having bought inexpensive puppies that came from untested parents, we have seen surprise vet bills and early health issues. We check the parents hips and elbows by submitting their x-rays to OFA which issues certificates that they are free of dysplasia. We also run DNA tests on the parents against a Golden Retriever Disorder panel. If they do not pass these and other health criteria, we do not breed them.
For more information or to schedule a visit to our Puppy Heaven, please call Steve at 940-736-0150.
