They seem to know you better than anyone and know how to make you feel better. At paws to care we know how special each life is and how much value they can bring to their future families. It is not only our desire, but our mission to save every life we can and place them in forever homes. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Dyersburg, TN. We save the lives of animals through community engagement.

The 2024 State Gazette Community Impact Awards Ceremony 💜🤍 not only recognized 10 amazing community volunteers, it also raised $4,875 for local animal rescue Paws to Care ❤️🐾.

At Paws to Care, we love celebrating the amazing people who make our mission possible. This month, we’re thrilled to feature Philip Lewis in our Volunteer Spotlight, continuing the tradition of recognizing our incredible team members! 🌟

Philip has been part of PtC for years, always stepping up to help however he can. 📸 Whether he’s capturing perfect photos, assisting with transports 🚗🐕, or creating beautiful keychains and crafts for fundraising, Philip brings heart and creativity to everything he does.

What truly sets Philip apart is his loyalty—not just to one area, but to PtC as a whole. 🛠️ He’s always ready to jump in wherever he’s needed. And if you’ve met him at one of our events, you know his warm smile and quick wit brighten everyone’s day. 😊

Volunteers, donors, fosters, adopters, etc….no matter in what capacity you support us whether it’s scooping poop or a litter box, washing endless amounts of laundry or dishes, sharing our posts on social media, donating funds or supplies, driving a transport, providing enrichment for our animals, mowing the yard, changing light bulbs, helping at events, fostering an animal, adopting an animal, etc etc etc…please know that we are very thankful for you and we appreciate you all!! Who remembers Tiffy? She’s been with her Foster for over a year now. We finally found a place that she will get the care she needs and some rehabilitation. She came to us paralyzed and although we had extensive testing done at MS state there really wasn’t an answer. She traveled to her new home today, Furgiven Animal Sanctuary, where we think she will thrive and hopefully continue to regain mobility. Thanks so much to all of you who have donated for her care, and to the village who has helped physically care for her the past 14 months. We’re so happy to have a new partner rescue who does such great work. We will post updates as they come ❤️

WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES! UPDATE 6/24/24. He is doing well recovering from his surgery! We also had them go ahead and neuter him. The donate button isn’t working again for whatever reason. Our PayPal is [email protected] if you can help us to help him! HELP! This cat was found on the side of the road and needed immediate medical attention so we’ve sent him on to the vet for emergency surgery! He’s skin and bones, dehydrated, lethargic and his gums are white. His tail is eaten completely through with maggots and he is in a lot of pain. We have no idea how long he has laid there and suffered this way😔. The Good Samaritan who saw him and picked him up and brought him to us has agreed to foster him. He is so sweet and as much pain as he’s in, he still wants love. We will do everything we can to help him but we need your help to do it please!! He’s going into surgery now and as soon as we get an update, we will get it posted. Please help us to give this sweet kitty a chance!! Thank you!
