Ground driving for the first time while a 1 year old is screeching and a barn is being torn down ✅

For me, how a horse handles themselves even in chaos shows the quality of the horse and their training. I think often people want the moon and stars to align before they’ll ride their horses and in reality they need to be able to keep some amount of sanity in any situation.

Work your horse in the chaos. In the places they’re uncomfortable. Where you’re uncomfortable. In crappy weather. It all is building them to be more versatile and setting them up for success in the future.

Stone had a few moments of “what the hell is going on” but so did I 😂 How horses and riders handle those situations is telling of what you need to work on. He handled it all with a good mind and we had a very productive session!

☀️ On site lease located in Callaway ☀️

Buddy is a Tennessee Walker looking for someone interested in hitting the trails. 15.2 hands and 12 years old. He is great going out in a group or alone. Looking for an intermediate rider just because he can get a little more forward when he’s unsure of things. He is very safe and willing. Stands well for vet and farrier. Easy to tack up and bathe. Just a really easy going guy who thrives with consistent riding time. He has mostly just been ridden on the trail so he is still green in the arena.

On site lease only at this time. $300 per month. He is currently field boarded but anyone leasing him will have full access to the amenities including indoor, outdoor, obstacle arena, a bunch of trails, and a hot/ cold wash rack. Lessons are also available with me or outside trainers are welcome with proof of insurance.

Please message me for more info and videos or to set up a time to come and meet him.

Wesley working with a bosal today to see how he might like that. He’s very guarded with his mouth including not even wanting to accept treats unless they’re in a bucket. He accepted a bit a couple days ago but I have a feeling he’ll be much more content bitless.

Like all the ones I train I like to see them in both options so they’re more versatile. Especially one that will one day have a new home. So Wesley will definitely be worked in both but I’m guessing he’ll like this option more.

Plus look how cute he is 🥰

I’ve had every intention of starting this horse on multiple occasions since I got him two years ago. Of course life happens with having two kids, running a boarding facility, and trying to keep up with training outside horses. I put a lot of time and energy into a lot of others’ horses. So I’m officially forcing myself to invest more into this little project.

Today Wesley got saddled for the first time with me. His owner before me had saddled him and he would turn into a bit of a bronc when she went to try to ride him. With his first saddling today there was no theatrics and he trotted off like he’s worn this saddle 100 times. He’s quirky in the best way and a little flighty but he’s clearly ready to move forward into an actual job.

As life has gotten in the way of prioritizing him, I think time to be a horse was exactly what he needed. In two years he has gone from needing sedation and not being able to get a solid trim in to now being able to get all four feet done with zero sedation! All thanks to also an incredible farrier’s patience! He’s also out in a 15+ acre field and I’m able to walk right up to him to catch him.

Those are two huge milestones that are often overlooked when we consider “progress” with a horse. Progress for each horse looks vastly different.

Keep an eye out for updates on this mustang. At some point he’ll be looking for a new incredible home. We’ll be seeing a first ride in the next couple weeks depending on how he’s feeling about everything. I’m excited to take it at his pace and see what kind of horse we have at the end of all this!

Rusty and I had a very productive ride last night!

Working with him has taught me so much. Some things take horses a few minutes to pick up but on a mule there’s a whole different timeline. I’ve had to adjust my expectations and tactics with Rusty. Which has been really cool to see how I can adapt in order to guide him where I’m asking.

We have to adapt to each individual equine we are riding. Each are different and have different ways of learning. Continuing to work with one like Rusty is a constant reminder of that.

Today marks 3 whole years of running Infinity Farm ❤️

It’s been an adventure full of growth, laughs, highs, lows, mistakes made, lessons learned, meeting so many people, change, and all around craziness. I’ve learned so much in the past three years and hope that I can continue learning from my mistakes and experiences to continue to make this place even better. I never imagined running a boarding facility but I feel very blessed that I have been trusted with this incredible farm.

I can’t honestly say I’ve loved every minute of this journey but looking back on this experience all the literal blood, sweat, and tears I’ve put into this adventure have been so worth it.

I cannot wait to see what the next 3+ years have in store for us! Hopefully so much more growth as an individual and a business.

Thank you to all my clients and boarders who have stuck with us and helped me grow.

Cheers to 3 years and hopefully many more 🍻🥳
