Had so much fun at our birthday photo session with Mily K. Creative ! Grotto isn't an easy dog to photograph. He was too nervous to turn his back to the decorations (balloons are scary 🎈) and didn't know what to make of the whole situation, but we feel like these photos really captured his personality 💕

The 1st one says it all! He's looking at his cake like the monkey might come to life at any moment 😆 Helped having plenty of Nana’s Tea Time Treats on hand to help him warm up 😊

It's almost Grotto's birthday and this is the inspiration for his cake - his stuffed monkey. Some of you may already know Grotto's story. He was rescued as a puppy and spent over a year in the shelter. He was, and still is, shy, anxious and quirky and we love him to bits 💗 When we first got him, he wouldn't come out of the corner of our sun room, never mind play with the toys we'd bought him. Until one day when he curiously and gently started nibbling on this monkey. Don't worry, the cake will look much cuter 😉
