Meet Nola, a six-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix in Kent, WA who’s got soulful eyes, a velvety black coat, and a heart full of love 💕. This affectionate girl is ready to find her new family—someone who will treasure her quirks, her cuddles, and her goofy playfulness!

Nola is the perfect mix of mellow mornings and playful afternoons. She loves soaking up the sun in the yard, enjoying long sniffari walks, and curling up beside you with her favorite toy 🧸. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and treat-motivated—ask for a high five or a spin and she’ll happily oblige (as long as there’s a snack involved!).

While Nola has lived with other dogs and attended doggy daycare, she’s selectively social and needs thoughtful introductions, clear boundaries, and continued positive socialization. She’s had a few minor altercations with other dogs—mostly around food or toys. She can also get excited and reactive when seeing dogs on walks, so she’ll thrive with someone who can help her stay calm and confident with gentle, consistent guidance 🐾.

She’s a loyal companion who enjoys being part of the action—even if it’s just neighborhood watch from the front window. And grooming? She loves it! 🛁

Nola would be happiest with an active adult or family with older children, especially one with a fenced yard and a love for the outdoors. She’s looking for structure, affection, and someone to share her big heart with.

💌 Please email [email protected] to meet Nola!

Meet Tonks, a six-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog/Boston Terrier/Pitbull mix in Cutler, OH, with a heart as big as her 55-pound frame! 🐾 She’s endlessly affectionate, a master snuggler, and loves being wherever her people are! Whether she’s romping outdoors, solving puzzle toys, or curling up beside you for movie night, Tonks is all about joy-filled companionship.

She knows commands like sit, stay, touch, and even “park it” for bedtime! Tonks takes daily Fluoxetine to manage anxiety and thrives best with experienced guardians who can offer a calm, structured routine.

Tonks must be the only pet in the home, as she’s reactive around some dogs and has a strong prey drive toward cats. In a peaceful, pet-free home, she’ll shine as your one-and-only best friend 💕

Please email [email protected] to meet Tonks!

This Giving Tuesday, we want to share something close to our hearts 💚

You may know Joyful Pets as the place where families find new homes for their beloved pets when life circumstances change. We've helped over 1,500 pets transition from one loving family to another, never through a shelter.

But not every family can afford our rehoming services. And some families just need a little help to keep their pet in the first place.

That's where Joyful Pets Rescue comes in.

Joyful Pets Rescue is our nonprofit arm, and 100% of your donation goes directly to helping pets and families in need. Here's what your gift does:

🐾 Helps families facing financial hardship keep their pets

🐾 Subsidizes rehoming fees for families who can't afford them

🐾 Funds emergency foster care and transportation

Together, Joyful Pets and Joyful Pets Rescue share one mission: keeping pets out of shelters and in loving homes.

Today, your donation has the power to keep a family together or give a pet a soft landing with a new family who will love them just as much.

Gidget is already house-trained, crate-trained, and knows several commands, thriving with consistency and positive reinforcement. She’s great with kids and has shown potential to live with dog-savvy cats, though she’s still working on her reactivity to other dogs. This spirited pup needs an active, loving home ready to continue her training and provide the structure she craves 💕

Say hello to Bronagh! 🐾 This spirited one-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd and Siberian Husky mix from Tacoma, WA is bursting with playful energy and big-dog charm. With her striking black and tan coat and soulful eyes, she’s a head-turner—but it’s her joyful heart and adventurous spirit that truly shine. 🌞

Bronagh’s favorite things? Chasing tennis balls, running around the yard, and soaking up the sunshine. She's growing into a strong and athletic 80-pound companion, and she's searching for a human best friend who can keep up with her zoomies and join her on outdoor adventures. Hiking trails? Yes please! Long walks? Absolutely! Backyard fetch? All day!

Born into a litter of seven, Bronagh grew up with siblings and got along best with her brothers—she tends to prefer the company of male dogs. She’s still gaining confidence around dogs outside her original pack, so she’ll do best with slow introductions and a patient adopter willing to help her grow.

This smart cookie already knows “sit” and “lay down” and is eager to keep learning through positive reinforcement training. She’s house-trained, crate-trained (as long as it’s cozy!), spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. 🐶

A fenced yard is a must for this high-energy girl—she needs space to stretch those long legs and release her inner athlete. Bronagh would thrive in a home where she gets daily activity, lots of love, and the kind of companionship that only comes from being someone’s one and only adventure buddy. 💕

Could you be Bronagh’s match? Please email [email protected] to meet her!

Meet Badb!

At just one-and-a-half-years-old, Badb is a stunning Siberian Husky and German Shepherd mix living in Tacoma, WA—compact in size but huge in personality 🐾💫. Born into a litter of seven, her creamy black coat, mesmerizing eyes, and upright ears make her an unforgettable sight on every walk.

Badb is a high-energy girl who lives for the thrill of the chase—balls, chew toys, and backyard zoomies are her jam! 🎾 After she’s had her fun, you’ll find her curled up like royalty in her favorite chair, catching her breath in pure queen fashion 👑.

Already house-trained and crate-trained, Badb is also a bit of a “velcro dog”—she wants to be close to her people. She’s still working on being okay with alone time, but with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, she’s well on her way to becoming a secure and confident companion. 🐕

She knows basic commands like “sit” and “lay down,” and she’s eager to learn more—especially when treats are involved! Badb thrives with structure, mental stimulation, and outdoor adventures.

Badb does well with male dogs (after slow intros), but prefers not to share her space with other females. Her thoughts on cats are TBD, so any feline friends should be introduced with care. With people, she’s gentle, loving, and always ready to bond 💗.

Looking for an energetic buddy with loads of charm? Badb might be your girl. Please email [email protected] to meet Badb!

Meet Heineken, a seven-and-a-half-year-old Pointer mix from Three Rivers, OR, with the heart of an athlete and the soul of an old friend 🐾💚

This 65-pound adventurer is a total package: white-coated, trail-loving, and sunshine-soaking. Whether he's blazing through a forest trail or playing fetch by the lake, Heineken is in his element when he's outside and active! But after the adventure? He’s all about that peaceful nap in a warm patch of sun or a cozy spot by the fire 🔥☀️

He’s not just brawn—he’s brainy, too! Heineken knows all the basic commands (sit, stay, come, lay down, “kennel up”) and is both crate and house trained. He’s also independent and can be left alone during the day without issue.

But like many sensitive dogs, Heineken has a few quirks. He’s not comfortable around infants or toddlers—sudden movements and crying make him anxious. He’d do best in a home without small children, or with older, dog-savvy kids (age 10+).

He can be selective with other dogs—he typically does better with mellow females or relaxed males and prefers slow introductions. Huskies, in particular, are a challenge for him. He also gets startled by loud motorcycles and can react with barking or lunging, though he’s on a low dose of Fluoxetine to help ease those nerves.

What Heineken truly needs is a calm, predictable home with active folks who appreciate nature, structure, and the quiet joy of a dog curled up beside them after a long day outdoors. 🏞️🐶

Please email [email protected] to meet Heineken!

Meet Whiskey, a one-and-a-half-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier from Camarillo, CA with a heart as big as his paws! 💕 Wrapped in a sleek charcoal brown coat with white accents, Whiskey is a playful, goofy, and snuggly companion who thrives on love, attention, and chew toys. 🧸

Still in his puppy phase but expected to grow into a sturdy 85-pound best friend, Whiskey is all about balance—romping around one minute and flopping on the couch for belly rubs the next. He’s crate-trained, house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. This clever boy already knows a few commands like “sit,” “down,” and “home,” and he’s eager to keep learning with someone who’ll guide him using positive reinforcement. 🐾

Whiskey is great with other dogs, doesn’t mind cats, and handles alone time pretty well—though nothing beats seeing your shadowy pup waiting happily at the door when you come home. He's the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room, chew toy in mouth, just to be close.

He needs a home that will match his energy and enthusiasm—one with time for walks, training, cuddles, and, of course, plenty of toys! 🥎 He’s full of personality and loyalty, and he’s more than ready to find a new loving home where he can grow, learn, and love big.

Could your home be his next adventure? Please email [email protected] to meet Whiskey!
