Meet Belle of the ball!
She is a 1 year old, mixed breed girl abandoned in the woods of Georgia near Dr. Cole's hometown. She was treated for heartworms, vaccinated, and spayed and will be ready for her new Furever home next week!
She is good with cats and other dogs and loves to play fetch!
Come on by the clinic to meet her!

It is our pleasure to introduce you to Dr. Ashley Durand, our new DVM!

Dr. Ashley Durand is a Jacksonville native and proud graduate of Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Before veterinary school, she earned both her undergraduate degree and a Master’s in Biology from Auburn University. After spending the last several years out West, she’s thrilled to be returning home to begin her veterinary career in the community that first inspired her love of animals.

Dr. Durand’s professional interests include preventive care, internal medicine, and building lasting relationships with pet families. She brings with her a deep appreciation for the human-animal bond—especially shaped by her 13-year-old Pomeranian, Kit, who has joined her on four cross-country road trips and visited nearly every national park in the U.S.

Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find Dr. Durand exploring local trails, hunting for great new music, or soaking in the sunshine with Kit by her side.

Dr. Durand will be joining us this September and we are very excited to have her. Please help us welcome her to the team!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO Cole Veterinary Clinic!

We are so excited to celebrate our 5th anniversary. We can't believe that 5 years went by so fast and we grew from a staff of 6 to 18 in those 5 years!
None of that would have been possible without our amazing clients both those that followed Dr. Cole and Dr. Stewart from previous practices, to those who found us through the grapevine. A huge thank you to all of our clients for their support these past few years.

For the safety of our staff and our patients, we have closed early this afternoon to prepare for the storm. We will be CLOSED THURSDAY, and hope to be back open on Friday.

For the impending storm, make sure your pets have identification. Check all collar tags, make sure your microchip number is listed in the PetDesk app, and make sure to take recent photos of your pet in case of emergency.

For this storm and for the future, gather a pet emergency preparedness kit. Check out a complete list from the American Veterinary Medical Association ( https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/pet-owners/emergency-care/pets-and-disasters ) and this cute video from the FDA ( https://youtu.be/dqtKKgdzHYU?si=IGm9HX1h58TM1D4x ). Most importantly, don’t forget to include clean water, food, an extra collar and leash, and your pet’s medications!

If needed, emergency veterinarians in our area are:

First Coast Veterinary Emergency at 904-853-6310 or Capital Veterinary ER at 904-647-7481

Thank you and stay safe,

Dr. Cole and Dr. Stewart

P.S. Don't worry about our house cat Squirrel, he went to stay with our practice manager for the storm and has already made himself at home in the cat tree!
