I just zoodled a medium sized zucchini, sauteed it in bacon fat (which I reserve for cooking everytime I fry bacon) seasoned with onion and garlic powders, salt, pepper, added two medium chopped fresh tomatoes skins removed, and some chopped fresh basil. Sauteed all this together until the zucchini noodles were al dente. I plated it, grated some sharp cheddar over it ( didn't have parmesan or romano,) a drizzel of olive oil and ate it with a toasted gluten free everthing bagel as garlic bread to sop up the juice. So simple and just so good. If you have fresh vegetables, you don't need anything exotic to please the palate.

Yes! WE ARE DOING THIS AGAIN! It's a ton of work, but it's going well! Plants are being carefully watered and rotated for light so they can progress until it's time to transplant them in the garden. Cold nights, cool days, then hot windy days, and back to cool have kept us on our toes for sure! WE STILL HAVE SOME CSA SHARES AVAILABLE. Please pass the word on to any locals you know who may be interested in a weekly supply ( 18 weeks starting in June) of the freshest, most nutritious organic vegetables ever! Contact us at 616-490-3367 or [email protected] for more information.

In 2021 and beyond we are working to push for more solution-centered posts (we all know there are problems out there but we want to share more solutions). We appreciate all of the support! 🙂

This recipe is a fun and nutritious way to get all the delicious flavor of an egg roll, but without the fried egg roll wrapper. It is free of gluten, dairy, soy, and refined sugar!

Hello, friends of Rivertown Suburban Gardens, and happy spring! We are busy getting things ready for the 2021 CSA garden season. We have onions, peppers, and tomatoes started indoors, and are looking forward to planting peas and potatoes outside in a few weeks, weather permitting. Farmer Mike has been busy expanding the garden for a small fruit orchard, grapes, and asparagus. To protect all this from our hungry deer population, he is installing a solar powered electric fence system. We have also added rows of strawberries, and hope to share all this with you in good time. CSA shares are still available, so contact us if you are interested in getting a box of organic vegetables every week for 18 weeks this season. 616-490-3677, or 616-803-5353, or email us at [email protected].
