Biosecurity refers to a set of guidelines or protocols established by organizations and companies to protect their products and, ultimately, the animals we care for. These measures help ensure that products reaching end users are free from contaminants, safeguarding the health of our aquarium systems.

Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with clayton from Reef Nutrition to discuss this often-overlooked topic. We talked in depth about the rigorous steps they take to ensure their products are free from diseases, parasites, and pathogens—factors that could potentially harm our aquariums.
