Hi all!
Sadly, we are no longer breeding our beautiful standard poodles as announced in a previous post.

We no longer have puppies to place, but we do have two adults who will be placed in a well-vetted home; a male and a female.

Both will be available following sterilization and healing.

Both are high-energy adolescents and would be more comfortable rehoming as a pair.

If you have interest, and you can guarantee you would return these babies to me in the event you cannot keep them, will have the financial stability to maintain grooming and veterinary needs, will have the space to accommodate high-energy running and jumping, the time to spend throwing sticks a few times a week, and the love in your heart to treat them with the respect and care they deserve, please contact me.

We have two babies to connect with their furever families! One male and one female!

They are soooo sweet!

Now that all the shots are onboard, they have been enjoying outside play and potting training. It is so fun watching them pounce around during outside time!

Call me, if you would like to be considered for placement. I am not getting notifications of comments or messages.

From the bottom of my fur-mom heart, I would like to thank you all for following our page and supporting our program. We have decided to pause all breeding activities indefinitely.

We have ONE last litter that has been ready for new homes for a week, but due to family priorities, I have not been online or taken photos to share. These puppies are all cream/light-apricots and have never been outside, have all shots, dewormed, tails are docked long.

If you are interested in one of these pups, born 6/6/23, please text or call because I will probably not be on Facebook daily.

I will happily schedule a phone meeting during which I will facetime with you so you can see our litter. I will not be available until Thursday of this week (9/21) after lunch.

Note: I will make an additional post about the available adults ( I have already turned down 3 potential new owners because I did not feel they would be good fits for my babies, but with hope, I will find the right fit soon.)

Update on Rosie!
100% improvement! Our strong girl is coming home on Pepcid, Prednisone, Denamarin, and Metronidazole. These meds are for prevention of stomach upset, inflammation, liver protection, and loose stools, respectively.

Once she is over the shock of this anaphylactic shock experience and has completed and metabolized all the medications, Rosie will undergo allergy testing to help us identify the allergen that caused her critical reaction.

Please say a prayer for Rosie ( available 6 month old).

Today she was lethargic, had shallow breathing, rapid heart rate, and would not stand.

We took her to the emergency vet, with haste, and she is still there on IV fluids and receiving life-saving care.

She is still not out of the woods.

She was diagnosed with anaphylaxis that is believed to be caused by an environmental exposure to a plant or insect.

She did perk up following the first bolus of IV fluids, but the epinephrine did not work. They are repeating the epinephrine dose, and if that does not work, they will start an epi-drip.

We sure hope and pray that Rosie pulls through!

We also hope and pray they can narrow down the allergen so we can protect other puppies going forward.

Y'all, it is finals week at university and I have had my head buried for 6 weeks preparing for this week. It is almost over!

For the reason above, I have not had an opportunity or mindset to post on this page, but I need to share this:

From our previous litter, born November 14th, we still have three pups. They are potty training, playing, and loving life.

At the vet this past week, they received more shots, a full check-up, and lots of pampering.

I do not have recent pictures because I am not staying at home until all the final exams are behind me, but if you want pictures before next week, let me know and I will have their caregiver send me some.

Due to no fault of their own, the expected owners had to back out of the agreement before pick-up day. We have 1 female who we call Rosie and she is a deep Apricot. We have two males, and we struggle to tell them apart right now, without watching their temperaments for a few minutes, but these are both creams.

Don't wait if you are interested because once these tests are behind me and I do a photo-shoot, they will probably move quickly.

Peace Out!

I stumble upon this post on a person’s page.

I get sooooo upset by crap like this.

This person is selling these pups and LETTING THEM GO before they are 7 weeks of age.

I cannot imagine even the thought of separating pups from siblings and mother at that young of an age.

Attention puppy buyers: if a breeder is pushing his/her pups out the door 1 day before 9 weeks of age, they are NOT a reputable breeder and you could only imagine the other corners they have cut.

I get it. It is not easy dealing with the messy, busy, whiney aspects of breeding puppies.

No one here is claiming that any part of raising a litter of puppies is easy.

But, if you are going to do it, you have to go into for the long haul.

You have to embrace the opportunity to share a part of yourself with each and every pup.

You have to understand the puppies, what they need, and what to expect in return from them.

You must at least read the wisdom of the experts and follow the lead of research.

You can’t just stick a couple dogs together and bail out when the mama dog stops cleaning up the mess.

They need to interact with their siblings, learn from their mama, and be psychologically ready to travel.

These puppies in this picture are at their peaks of development relative to interacting with other dogs. They need their litter mates .

Ok, ok, it is technically acceptable for them to go to their fur-ever homes at 8 weeks ( not 6 or 7), but those last two weeks we have them here from weeks 8-10 make a world of difference.

We can crate train them while they still have a sibling to cuddle with. They can learn to play nice with the other pups. They get so much from these last two weeks that I can’t even begin to explain it. These are critical days when they are the absolute most impressionable.

Also, they get to see the vet who has cared for them since literally day 1 a last time. This is important in case there are changes.

Please, no matter where you get your puppy, do not enable ripping a litter apart before they are ready to move on.

I left the AKC showing group on Facebook because their practices with their animals are abusive imo. When I point out an abusive practice, I am scolded that my thoughts against a “showing practice” will not be tolerated by admin. Well, if they are so high and mighty that abuse is acceptable if it means winning a title, and words of rationale are not permitted, I choose not to associate with them.

We have two male pups. If you are interested in one of these pups, please contact me before I list them in the morning.

To people who keep posting “don’t buy, adopt from shelters….”

I agree that if there are dogs that are good fits for a family, it is a good idea to consider those in shelters.

BUT, it is ridiculous to keep posting that people should not buy dogs.

There are MANY reasons that people fit best with dogs of specific breeds. Some of these reasons are to better understand the lineage, health characteristics, temperaments, anticipated size, and/or expected life spans.

All dogs are not created equally. I specifically breed extremely low shedding, “less”-allergenic , medium to large sized poodles. I breed these pups for temperament and health. These dogs are matched with the families based on personality characteristics and trainability.

We breed with the calculated anticipation of meeting the needs of facilities that intend to train “facility dogs,” people who have the resources to provide training for service dogs, and pets for people with severe anxiety/depression/emotional challenges. If we have more pups in a litter than clients with medically inclined needs, we sell those pups to vetted families who we know will care for them.

There are many people with specific needs and the blanket shaming of these people and the breeders helping them meet these needs is asinine to say the least.
