Micro chrysanthemum defined by those beautiful bunny ears - two to be exact. A symbol of longevity during the Han dynasty. Ironically full of nutrients that can improve health! A Chinese cheers to these fellows.

Thankful is as understatement. It’s been exactly one year since we moved onto our ‘āina in Kahalu’u and it’s been everything we’ve ever dreamt of and more (successes and failures). Single day install for this 16’x20’ house frame, roof, and paint.

2 different grow systems so that the school can start to ease into their own unique version of food production and food security.

Our microgreens provide a different type of healthy. They are packed with active enzymes, vitamins and minerals that are not only essential for cell function but also protect against damage. They require less water and energy to grow than larger crops, and if you think about eating down the food chain, this is almost as small as you can get! Today we embarked on a culinary journey with students. They will be learning about our specialty greens and work to develop a new microgreen mix as part of their curriculum! Stoked to share a little about our business and to establish new friendships along the way.

Not even close to a fully automated, climate-controlled farm, but sometimes we can make it look like it. Enjoying all of the ups and downs that scaling a business has. We are so appreciative for all of the experiences we have had before taking this project on.

Kaiware - we produce two types of radish sprouts that have exceptional nutritional qualities. Our sprouts aren’t the same as traditional water-grown sprouts - they are a bit more colorful, larger leaves, and sturdier stems. Our two varieties can be ordered upon request by color: 💚 or 💜

This is the second week of our lōkahi after school program. The kids have already helped to collect bean pods off the vines, opened them up, and counted the seeds inside!
