Meet Ellie the Airendale🐕(first picture) She was one of my more challenging grooms. I first met Ellie as a puppy and she LOVED to use her mouth. She’s also one of the most confident pups I’ve met. From the start, i knew that this issue could exacerbate into nipping as she would bite down quite hard for her age so we came up with a plan, went slow and worked on grooming etiquette. There were times where I felt that possibly another groomer, with more experience, could figure her kinks out faster but I trusted my experience, gave up on doubt and now we have a pretty well rounded groom pup (well, shes close to 50lbs) that will now grow into her adult size without being hazardous to groom.

This is what it’s all about. Consent grooming isn’t easy. It takes a lot of patience, consideration and compassion. It teaches them to trust, overcome and eventually enjoy (at least some parts) of the grooming process. This is a great way to make it a positive experience for both the groomer and the dog, everytime!

We have thoroughly enjoyed having Janey Butters and Zara during their stay. Both have successfully passed their personality tests, ensuring they are safe and well-suited to be around other dogs. They are inseparable and full of energy, always eager to play. It’s now time for our noon walks, enrichments and dog tv.

Delay in Response:
Our phones are down at the moment. I will be starting callbacks and scheduling at 8 am tomorrow before grooming appointments arrive to catch up. These past two weeks have thrown me a lot of curve balls and i appreciate everyone’s patience at this time. My recovery for my chest has taken longer than anticipated but i’m feeling 100% better. FOSTER PUP🐕😅

i haven’t named this little guy yet. He was found on the river, covered in ticks and alone…. in the middle of nowhere. one of my clients friends text and i said yes without even seeing him BUT MAN IS HE A CUTIE.

he will be fully examined, vaccinated and wormed. i named every beagleish thing “copper” so let’s hear some suggestions. more pics to come today!
