Dr. Wolf is a mobile holistic vet here on the Peninsula. We have mutual clients and she also does acupuncture for my big girl Pearl which gives her relief from some neurological ‘stuff’ she has going on. Acupuncture is also great for pain and stiffness in our aging fur babies. Pearl had a funky ear most of her life - Dr. Wolf recommended a Chinese herb and it was cleared up in a few weeks. Crazy!

Dr. Wolf is gentle and compassionate - Pearl’s not a big fan of strangers or staying in one place for more than 30 seconds. She now gets so excited when Dr. Anna Maria Wolf comes for her treatments and her licky mat.

Welcome to our newest Mermaid! 🧜‍♀️

Debby (seen here with her sweet Silken Wind Hound, Echo) of Sophie’s Touch Therapeutic Animal Massage will join the MerMutts team and provide warm water swimming for dogs on the Peninsula and beyond. She is also a license canine massage therapist and focuses on rehabilitative and geriatric massage which creates perfect harmony with MerMutts’ mission. I bought a certificate at a fundraiser last year at The Rise Rescue Alliance for local Sequim artist, David Montague to create a pet portrait. He absolutely captured the soul of this beautiful dog. This was our StellLuna that we lost when we first moved here.

He does amazing work for pet owners and in our community. He’s a beautiful human and artist. Check him out!

Meet a MerMutt:

There is not much cuter than a bulldog puppy. Seriously. So squishable. This is Ox. His dad wants to take him out on the paddle board this summer so we practiced today. He did great! 💜

Meet a MerMutt:

This is Ben. Ben is starting to experience some arthritis and joint pain. He is GORGEOUS and anxious. He is not super psyched about the pool but his parents are the BEST. CHEERLEADERS. EVER. They cheer him on and encourage him to do it for his health. And for chicken nuggets. He has made amazing progress and will hopefully be swimming ‘in the wild’ this summer. Look for updated pics…I, myself, can’t wait. Go Ben, you’ve got this! ❤️

Meet MerMutts:

This is Abbie and Molly. Could they BE any cuter? Can you tell which one is more treat motivated? 👀 They came because they are 13 and 11 and are having some back and joint issues. They did SO well in the pool. Very brave. Molly is an awesome swimmer. All long-backed dogs can benefit from swimming early on. It can help strengthen their ‘core,’ if you will, and allow for better mobility throughout their life.
