She had her babies in the garage and I found them after I heard a little kitten, "Little Roo" crying at 3 am in the morning. For whatever reason, he was under the shrubs in front of the house. After a valient fight "Roo" succumbed to pneumonia. This lead me to hunt for the other babies which I found under an old sofa on a porch. I took the babies in out of the cold and fed them and loved them. Kit
ten Angels helped me with their care. They were wormed, received shots, got spayed and neutered and ready for adoption. What a wonderful organization!!! I have had litters of kittens in my life, but this has been such a rewarding experience. I love these "kids" and look forward to finding them their forever homes. I am secure in knowing that they will never be cold and hungry again. At this writing I am still trying to trap Momma Cat to get her safe as well. I look forward to fostering again. I created this page to help share these cats and kittens looking for new homes. Located in Southern Albany County, I foster through a non-profit organization in Albany, New York, called Kitten Angels who rescues pregnant mamas (Queens) and kittens in the capital city (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kitten-Angels/223127564405058?fref=ts). Kitten Angels fosters keep the kittens in their homes until they are adopted, they never have to go to a shelter. Kittens are kept safe and loved in their foster homes, along with their mamas where possible, until they are at least 2 months old. The kittens are spayed/neutered when they are about 2lbs, and usually will have gotten their rabies shots at 3lbs (if fixed when they are 3lbs), and receive their two distemper shots before they are adopted out. Kitten Angels also hosts adoption events every weekend (though honestly it's so hard to see our precious little babies in those cages even if only for a few hours, so hopefully by spreading the word and getting more and more pictures out there, all our little babies and their mamas will be spoken for before they ever have to go to an event). If you'd like more information about Kitten Angels, please see their page. Please email me here for a Kitten Angels Adoption Application. And thank you for all your care, kindness and support!
