The Edgar County Humane Association will be having a Cat Adoption Day at this festival. Come on down to meet our cats and kittens & enjoy your day at the festival. Friday& Saturday at the Red Barn. Hope to see y'all there.

🚨🚨SPRINGFEST INFORMATION🚨🚨

We are just a week away from our event. We are so excited to have a day of fellowship in the Village with everyone, and try some new things!

Vendors, the Red Barn is located at 204 S. Broadway, just south of the water tower. You can set up Friday, anytime. On Saturday, please be aware, our parade begins at 10 AM and it gets very congested at the entrance to town. Please plan accordingly.

Also, once the parade disperses, we ask that people use the side roads or the ball field/bank parking, as our Brocton Boogie Car Show and street dance will line the Main Street (3rd Street) through town.

Lastly, we have had some recent road construction in town, please be kind to our homeowners with fresh dirt, and try to not park in those spaces.

We can’t wait to share what we have planned for you. See you next weekend!!

LOOK WHO IS 6 WEEKS OLD TOMORROW!!
These guys are my bottle baby's, they are getting weaned this week and are doing good with wet food and kibble. In a couple more weeks they will go to the vet. At the vet they will get first shots and wormed and flea treatment. When older they will get neutered, microchipped and test for diseases. At this time, they will be up for adoption. These guys are big lovebugs!!

REST IN PEACE LITTLE ONES!

I am reaching out with a heartfelt plea that I hope will resonate deeply with each of you. Just four days ago, I was entrusted with the care of four newborn kittens. These tiny, fragile beings were born on that very day, and it quickly became apparent that caring for them was an immense responsibility. Newborn kittens are entirely dependent on their mother, not just for nourishment, but for warmth, comfort, and the essential care that only a mother cat can provide.
Despite my best efforts to feed them with a syringe and keep them warm, these precious kittens struggled without their mother. They were unable to suckle properly, and the milk often dribbled out of their little mouths. One by one, I watched them fade, feeling utterly helpless. The experience of losing each kitten was excruciating, especially hearing their heartbreaking cries as they passed away. It is an emotional burden that I would not wish upon anyone.
I am sharing this painful experience with you all to emphasize the critical importance of ensuring that newborn kittens remain with their mother. If you find kittens, please, I urge you to do everything in your power to also find and secure their mother. The survival of these fragile lives depends on the nurturing care only she can provide. Whether they are stray or abandoned, always make the effort to reunite them with their momma. This simple but crucial action can save lives and spare others from the heartache that I have endured. Thank you for your understanding and compassion.
