Warning graffic photos. So I’m just putting a PSA out about breeding and raising young geckos. That no matter how good your stock, how good you keep your temps, ect, freak things do happen. So this baby pipped a while ago and although I don’t condone cutting eggs in this case I did just that. The egg had been incubating for about 4 months. And had pipped a couple days ago then sealed back up. I’m not sure how this deformity came about as I’ve never seen it before my guess is it was due to an incubator malfunction early in the forming days due to a power outage. Both parents are from great stock and I’m hopeful that the clutch mate will be perfectly fine. This baby was born with its heart beating outside of its body.
