These 3 gorgeous ladies will be looking for a new coop along with a few Roos the whites will go as trios or pairs. I have 5 other white hens ready to go also. 1 satin the rest are Silkie feathered. They are 1 to 1 1/2 years old laying hens. Local pick up only.

Current situation here at The Silkie Shanty, all of our pens look like this! Never could just 1 be broody… they all are!!!! I believe there were 8 hens in this 1 nesting box 🙄😂

The Silkie Shanty Egg Sales Agreement is as follows:

Hatching eggs and chicks/birds are available to order when they are available. Please note that I hatch for myself to work on improving my birds and to share when extra is available.

I do try to include as many extras as my hens allow. I do not have huge pens with tons of birds. I only keep and breed the best and sell the rest.

I offer all shipping at Priority Mail. Express mailing or special handling is optional but at your cost.

Hatching eggs are ordered on a first come first serve basis and are filled in the order of payment being received. Full payment must be made at time of purchase. Local pickup is always welcomed.

***Please note that hatching eggs are never guaranteed. Order at your own risk***Shipping eggs are a gamble****

I take pride in packaging all the eggs I sell and do everything I can to ensure the best hatch rate possible. Unfortunately, shipping eggs is not guaranteed and once they leave my hands I cannot guarantee any hatch rate due to variables in shipping, weather and incubation methods. I do guarantee fresh eggs are shipped. Eggs are collected daily. They will be no older than 3 days at shipping. Remember that you are getting eggs through the postal service and extreme temperature, rough handling, x-ray machines, delays in transit and delivery can affect the eggs ability to hatch correctly. I do not have any control over these factors.

***I will NOT replace eggs because there are too many factors out of my control that affect hatch rate.***

Live Birds Agreement

***I do NOT replace birds after purchase. There are no refunds.***

I do not guarantee chicks or live birds once they leave my hands. I cannot control what happens to them once they are gone nor do I have any control for their well being once sold. All birds are properly taken care of and maintained while in my care. Live birds MUST be shipped Express Mail.
******* REMINDER: Live birds are very expensive to ship so before asking for shipping look into cost. Boxes alone start at $25 a piece plus the price of actual shipping can easily be $100 or more. Please make sure to research the breeds you are buying and bringing to your home before you purchase.


Accepted forms of Payment:
Payment may be made via Venmo, Facebook Pay, or Paypal. All payments must be cleared before eggs will be shipped. Cash is welcome for local pickups.

Once eggs/birds have been paid for, NO refunds will be made for any reason. I am not responsible for any eggs/birds once they leave my hands. By purchasing from The Silkie Shanty you are agreeing to my policy and terms.

My pens are as follows:

S*x Linked Chocolate Fun Pen: In this pen there are chocolate, mauve, splash mauve, chocolate paint, blue/blue split to chocolate, splash, chocolate/black mottled, and black split to chocolate. I have all feather types in this pen. There is a chance of all feather types- silkie, frizzled silkie, satin, and frizzled satin. There is also a chance of showgirl and stripper usually with bowties. My roosters are all bearded chocolate silkies. ***Occasional pigment wholes do occur from this pen as it is a project color***

Black/paint: In this pen you will get black, paint, and occ white silkies with a chance of satin, silkie, and frizzled silkie feathering.

Buff- You will get buff silkies with a chance of all feather types. I have a buff frizzled satin hen in this pen. I do also have a bow tie showgirl hen in this pen.

White: In this pen you will have all 4 feather types. My white rooster is silver based and some of my hens. Occasionally my white chicks hatch silver due to double silver genes, they do grow in white feathers and turn completely white. Those that are double silver gene white will be brilliant white due to the genetics and sometimes will have lighter skin/ pigment holes and pinkish combs can occur.

Partridge fun pen- In this pen you can get all feather types. I have partridge and buff. There is a showgirl chance in this pen.


Blue/Splash in this pen I have all feather types and a chance of naked neck. Currently all are mixed in my chocolate pen- **no eggs sales at this time from this pen***
