🗞️ Here's Harpoon (aka Lucky) update! It’s been a week since he was released from A&M after his endoscopy and second abdominal surgery to remove the remaining remnants of an air mattress. He’s doing GREAT! He’s going to get a final check out by one of our vets and hopefully will be able to go to his family soon and start enjoying his new life!

Update on Harpoon! He’s on the mend and has found his forever family! Thank you all for your support with his great medical bills.
From living on the street … to being rescued by Austin Boxer Rescue … to a forever home! Harpoon has been through a lot in the last couple of weeks. Once he came into foster care, it was quickly realized that something was seriously wrong, as he couldn’t keep food or water down and he was becoming lethargic. Radiographs showed a foreign object in his stomach, and an abdominal surgery revealed he ate an air mattress sometime before coming into rescue. 😳😳😳 Then, a persistent hard cough further revealed some of that air mattress was lodged in his esophagus. So, he made a trip to Texas A&M for more surgery to get the remaining pieces of air mattress out of his esophagus. 😅😅🤪🤪🤪 An additional week of recovery in a foster home that finally led to him getting to go home to his family today!! He was so happy to finally be home ❤️❤️❤️ His family has decided to name him Lucky, and his is VERY lucky indeed!!! Welcome home, Lucky!!! ❤️❤️

🎙 Foster Spotlight - Duke VII
Hi! My name is Duke VII! I am a handsome 4 month old flashy fawn boy that is an owner surrender after being found at my current owner’s front door and they are looking for a forever home for me! I currently live with my siblings, Copper & Lady V, but it is not required that we be adopted together. I am described as friendly, active, smart, calm, playful, affectionate, quiet, and obedient! I live with my two littermates and I am great with them. I haven’t been around younger children but live with two kids (ages 12 & 15 years) and I do well with them. I have had a small amount of exposure to the kitten in the home but I wasn’t phased by or have a reaction to it. I am crate trained, know basic commands, and am currently working on house training and will need assistance learning that in my forever home. At night I sleep outside, in the bathroom, or in my crate. When the humans must be away, I react fine. I am able to put my front paws on top of kiddie gates but when outside I have good behavior and do not attempt to jump fences/gates or dig. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, balls, cat toys, going for walks, cuddling, and eating! I do not like being away from the humans when I know they are home. We desperately need help for this precious boy, who had a bad start in life. Our costs are very high for this sweet little guy who, prior to arrival into our program, swallowed pieces of an air mattress. I'm still looking for my forever home. As you can see from my photos, I’m a beautiful fawn girl with white paws and white markings on my nose, chest and neck. They say I’m about 2 years old. I came in off the streets extremely underweight but now I’m healthy and I’ve even had my spay surgery. No more babies for me, thank goodness. I’m chill most of the time but I am also playful and energetic, especially when I’d like someone to throw a ball for me. I even mostly bring it back! I’m learning “drop” and even when I don’t, I’m happy for you to take the ball and throw it for me again. This video is proof enough, don't you think? There are no children or other dogs in my current foster home but I did spend a few weeks at a temporary foster where, with slow intros, I made friends with their other foster dog (a male Boxer) and two personal dogs, a male Boxer and a female golden retriever. I fell in love with the other foster dog and when he got adopted, I mourned for a couple of days. Another foster dog came into the family after that and I did not like him! So, my foster mom says to tell you that I am dog friendly with slow intros but also dog selective. Hey, people don’t like everyone they meet either, do they? I am not dog reactive though. I rarely bark at dogs walking by and in the vet’s waiting room, a small dog barked right at me and I just looked away. I’ve been tested with cats a couple of times and just ignore them so they say I’m possibly cat friendly. I do love to chase squirrels. I am crate trained, and get in quite willingly. I am house trained and can sleep through the night on a dog bed in my foster parents’ bedroom. When I wake up from a nap, I’ll stretch and head to the back door to let you know I need to go outside. Just a tiny update on Bellini's two beautiful surprises! She had a matched set, one boy named Willet, and one girl named Lola. Mama had a bit of a dip and went to the vet for a check up but she's doing good now and babies are both doing great! They are now about two and a half weeks old.

I’ve got a case of the zoomies 🤪 Duchess here, again! I am a six year old gal who is believed to be a boxer/bulldog mix. Either way, I’m just a sweet new face 🤩 I’ve got some spring skin allergies but my foster has been giving me the most soothing baths and oil rubs ♥️ I am most relaxed when I’m alone, lounging on the couch or my bed 😌 I am still getting used to being around people and other animals but I am definitely making great progress! I enjoyed my little spring break recently! Did you? ♥️ Cranberry here again! I am doing incredibly well in my foster home! I am great with kids and I get along well with my boxer roommate. I love when my fosters call me “little girl” 🥰 I am potty trained and I love using the kennel. Sometimes I go to my kennel to chill and I love to collect toys from around the house. I especially love playing catch! My foster family says I was a little shy I at first but that I am comfortable, loving and always up for snuggling with everyone.
