No Tricks, Just Treats
🎃🐈🐕

No tricks here, just tasty, better-for-them treats! My fur babies and I love, love, love pawTreats for so many reasons. The biggest one? ⬇️

Unlike most pet treats on the market that are made up of empty calories and fillers, and are high in carbohydrates, pawTreats are made with REAL meat and complementary fruits and vegetables.

Yep, nothing spooky about that. Link in bio😉👻🎃

Our Story

Our mission here at, Tailwaggers, is to produce all-natural, organic and healthy dog treats for dogs all over the world. We take pride in our research efforts to find the most reliable sources and best products to use in our treats for dogs. We always use human consumption grade products. No artificial flavors or coloring, No byproducts, just a good wholesome and healthy treat that will have your dog's tail wagging. I, myself, worked in the health and fitness industry for 20 years and a former figure competitor. I have a vast amount of knowledge and experience in nutrition and fitness wellness for human beings. So, naturally, when we got our first "family" dog, Adi, her nutrition and fitness were just as important to us. She was an American Staffordshire Terrier aka "Pitbull". She was a little over 4 months old when we adopted her from a breeder. Every day we ran/walked about a mile, 3x per day. We fed her twice a day and always kept her water bowl filled with filtered water but she was starting to look thinner, not sickly, but thin. So, that's where my research started in dog nutrition and fitness training. I learned that a dog's body will use stored fat as their primary endurance fuel, whereas, a human body will use stored carbohydrates. I started looking at the label's on different brands of dog food and chose 2 different ones and combined them, one had a higher fat content and the other more protein and because of her breed, I chose to keep her food grain-free and no beef. Pitbulls tend to have more issues in regards to their digestive systems. I learned after speaking with a brand rep at one of the pet stores that this breed of dog can benefit from a "Grain-Free" diet and absorb more of the nutrients in the food that they consume. Adi's diet was dialed in and she was getting bigger and stronger...FAST! It was now about the end of August and still going for our daily runs/walks. Until one day, we both felt good and we ran our first 3-mile run in about 25 minutes. When we got back home we went inside and I gave her some nice cold filtered water and I grabbed my water bottle from the fridge. As I sat there watching Adi drinking her water I felt soo proud of her for just running 3 miles. No pulling, no stops just a nice fun run. She loved it. I started thinking of a good, healthy treat that I could give her to restore her fat levels in her body and protein to help with the repair of her muscles from our run. So, we went to the store and I went to the frozen food aisle to buy her some "ice cream treats". I wasn't thrilled reading what was in it but I said "Ok, just this once. It's a "treat".

Bad idea! She had nothing but the runs for almost two (2) days. And that’s when I decided to come up with my own recipe, that was not only healthy but would be dairy-free! And that’s when Tail-Waggers was born.

Dairy products are not good, AT ALL, for dogs. Depending on the breed of dog, the lactose tolerance levels are all different. And Adi, being a pit bull, they are known to have digestive issues. So it was super important to me that I fuel her body accordingly.

Whole fat milk and other dairy products are high in fat which leads to diarrhea and vomiting. Dogs can also develop a potentially serious disease called pancreatitis from ingesting high-fat dairy products. That's where my kitchen then became a test kitchen for dog treats. We are committed to using only all-natural and organic products in our frozen treats for dogs. All our flavor combinations are tested and approved by, of course, Adi and all of her local dog friends. When they hear me ask if they "Want an ice cream treat?" they run-in with their tails wagging. We started marketing our product to family, friend, and neighbors who had dogs in August 2014. We are confident and can't wait to share Tailwaggers with all dogs, everywhere.
