Roaming for 3 days in Delray Beach, Florida… Emma is now SAFE & HOME!! Here is Emma’s story…

On Friday Aug 8, my husband and I took a road trip and left Emma with a trusted sitter. I agreed the sitter could take Emma to her home. Emma has been there before and is always treated like a princess. However, this time, the sitter stopped at the Kia dealership in Delray to pick up her car. Emma was spooked by something and pulled out of her harness. Being part Jack Russell, she took off. She was quickly out of sight.

My ex-husband and children searched that night, with the sitter. Two ladies from Church recognized my daughter from a church fellowship, one of them, the talented photographer Triana-Rose launched into action. They prayed and joined the search. After 9 pm the search was suspended with no signs of Emma. My photographer friend from church recommended Jamie Katz.

I took the first flight back and arrived at the scene to begin search at 9am Saturday Aug 9. Our friends from Church had already been out searching and setting up online posts with pictures of Emma. We now had a search party of 4 full time adults, two children and 3 part time adults. We printed signs and started putting them up. With still no signs of Emma, I left a message with Jamie, she offered some tips and took my information. As we walked and talked to more people, I realized everyone in the surrounding neighborhood knew about Emma, and all eyes were on the lookout. Still no sightings. Two more walkers recommended Jamie, which gave me confidence in my decision to hire her. Jamie was working on another case at the exact time I called, she did not have to offer free advice but you can tell she does this for the animals.

We walked a few more neighborhoods and once it got dark, I returned to the dealership where my Emma was last seen and just waited in my open SUV trunk for a couple hours. Exhausted and emotionally crushed, I went home to sleep.

Up again at 5am on Sunday, I was on foot again expanding the area. I saw a few raccoons but no Emma. My husband returned that morning and rode fifteen miles by bike while the rest of party continued on foot. Still no signs of Emma. The dealerships on Federal Ave formed a chat to communicate any Emma sightings. Still no sightings.

I realized I had been praying and asking for her safe return but not praising God in my strife. The moment I began to praise God and accept His plan, everything changed. Jamie sent over a service agreement and was on the scene in less than an hour. Jamie put her tracking dogs to work- and identified Emma’s boundary. We followed Jamie’s advice and put up signs exactly where she said Emma would be. Less than 24 hours later, on Monday morning, I got a call from a Palm Beach detective. He sent a picture of Emma; she was sitting under one of Jamie’s signs in front of the Cadillac dealership!! The detective waited with Emma until my husband arrived. I also received calls from a lady named Audrey and the lady who printed our first signs at Kinkos. Along with others that rolled in.

If I had not been at the fellowship I would not have met those amazing ladies who recommended Jamie, resulting in Emma’s fate possibly being very different. Emma has some soft tissue injuries, but she is and will be fine in no time.

Thanks to Jamie Katz, I have my Emma back and she’s doing well. I recommend her to anyone. She is extremely honest too - we accidentally sent her an extra payment - she noticed right away and returned it.

My lessons learned: 1- sitter will stay my house and walk only in our neighborhood 2- gps collar or Airtag 3- keep Jamie Katz on speed dial.

Thank you again to everyone who helped bring Emma home!

Welcome Home Emma & CASE CLOSED!!!

Roaming for 2 days in Fort Lauderdale, Florida… Gary is now SAFE & HOME!!!

Here is Gary’s story….

I'm not sure where to begin to explain the nightmare that began at 1am on July 5th. Gary, my handsome boy was being babysat by a dog sitter. Not my usual, but someone who I thought was trustworthy. I had a very strange feeling around 11pm and woke up at 1am to a call from the dogsitter that Gary jumped her fence and ran off. Immediately, I knew something was off and my gut was right.

I was desperate. I had friends, strangers from online and everyone in between looking for Gary. I kept getting recommendations to hire Jamie Katz the Pet Detective. I shrugged it off thinking it was ridiculous, especially because of Ace Ventura the 'Pet Detective" (my last name being Einhorn and Jim Carey ruining my childhood with Lois Finkle/ Ray Einhorn). I couldn't have been more wrong. Once in contact with Jamie, we went over a very strategic line of questioning about Gary, his personality and what happened. Within 20 minutes of that Jamie had two of her dogs- both air and ground scent trained trackers (I believe this is the correct term) on the ground on an official mission. We walked what felt like to me the whole state, but her and her dogs (Lois (I know) and Gable worked until I couldn't move a muscle anymore and tracked every single spot Gary's scent was. Needless to say, it was a lot.

With very little hope after not seeing him or having any sign of life or spotting from the public, I followed what Jamie said- exactly. She provided me with everything needed in a hopeless situation and in less than 12 hours from the time I hired this hero on earth, my baby was back home and safe with me. At 3:30 am this morning she ran out of her house to meet me and by 5:30 am I was in bed (after a bath) with Gary.

I wish I could properly convey how thankful I am to Jamie and her dogs. This is the best way I know how. If your dog ever goes missing, DO NOT wait- call Jamie and get her on the case immediately. I would pay her 20x over for what she did for me and Gary.

Thank you, Jamie, Lois and Gable- you saved this little family. ❤

Roaming for 9 days in Davie, Florida… Moxxie is now SAFE & HOME!!!

Moxxie was seen on by a wonderful family that tried to grab her at 11:30pm last night but was unable to. The family put some food out and turned their cameras to see when Moxxie returned. At 1 am, a couple of the family members saw her again, chased her across the street into a fenced in property, and was able to corner her and then picked her up. The family called Moxxie’s owner at 2am to pick her up. Thank you to this amazing family, and the everyone else who helped bring Moxxie home. Welcome Home Moxxie & Case Closed!!

🚨11 Safety Tips for the 4th of July 🚨

1. Leave your pets at home for the fireworks/festivities.

2. Secure your pet in an enclosed room or kennel while not home.

3. Don't leave pets unattended outside, even in a fenced in yard even for a minute on or before the 4th and after.

4. Make sure your pet is wearing a collar with current ID tags & call the microchip company to make sure your information is updated.

5. Take profile photos of your pets standing on all fours just in case you need to make a lost pet sign.

6. Have the TV, radio and fans turned up in each room for your pets, even if your home.

7. Put up baby gates in front of the doors to prevent an escape or to give you a two second head start to catch if they try to jump over.

8. Keep your pets secured in a bedroom while company is over so they don’t get out the front door when opened and closed.

9. Walk your dogs leashed hours prior to the fireworks. Martingale collars are safest collars for your dogs to not be able to back out of if scared. Also purchase a whistle go explorer gps just in case they do escape.

10. Keep your pets inside during the fireworks.

11. This is just in case you need a 100% scent article of your pet.

Put on a pair of gloves, take a few pieces of sterile gauze, rub all over your pets belly & neck for 30 seconds (do not rub gauze near the face, there is too much bacteria on the face and mouth. Put the gauze in a new non-scented ziplock bag, write your pets name & date on the outside of the ziplock bag and store in a drawer for safe keeping. (There is a video of how to get a proper scent article of your pet on this page for reference).

🚨 I also just started a new lost pet app, it’s called "ROSIE”. It’s one map for all lost & found pets in the world to be posted, there will soon be no need to search thousands of pages and groups, or other platforms. One map, one location, for all lost pets in the world.

https://jamiekatzpetdetective.com/ROSIE/

PROMO code KATZ to post for free🚨

Please be safe and have a Happy 4th of July!!!
