As you know, Dobermans have a special place in our hearts, with Dr. Atkinson usually having a black and tan shadow called Bear (from rescue) at her feet. The Seattle area Doberman Rescue has 7 Dobermans in foster currently-please reach out to them directly if your home could welcome one.

Update: Thank you everyone who offered to help. We have a couple of good potentials and now we will see which one will be best for this boy.

We need a foster ASAP for a wonderful 11 year old senior boy. He is sweet as can be and gets along with other dogs. He does need someone who is home a lot so he can be let out to do his business . Unfortunately he is older and can't hold it for 10 hours and also he cannot be put in a crate as it is not good for his muscles and joints at his age. He is located in Crystal River so a place within hour or two range would be best, can do but further if needed . Please contact me by messenger or call 352 302 9251. Thanks

Abigail is now URGENT. Albino female doberman found as a stray, it's been 6 weeks and all attempts to find an owner have failed. She is 2-3 yrs old, fully vetted now, living with the finder still but finder cannot continue to keep. Potty trained, rides well in the car, good with other dogs BUT does best as an only dog with someone home at least part time. Crate trained but can do well staying loose without a crate. NO CATS. No small children. Rehome fee $250. Vet records will be transferred. If interested, contact us and we will put you in touch with the finder.

Anybody out there looking for an awesome older buddy? Lance has been with us since last spring and hasn’t had any interest. His age was guesstimated at about 7 years old last May but he’s still in really good shape. He’s on the smaller side for a male which makes him easy to handle and he has the most gentle demeanor. He is extremely patient with his female kennel-mate and does fine with female dogs but he’s not as comfortable living with other male dogs. Lance is quiet, not destructive, and sweet with people. We want to see this gentle boy get a home because he doesn’t deserve to live in the kennels one day more. Please share Lance and let’s find him a home!

Libby is an active youngster who is new with us but she’s ready for a home! She’s about 2 years old, not too large and happy to meet everyone. She gets along fine with her male kennelmate but she lives for the attention from people. She is a busy body so she will need an active home that can provide the exercise, training and structure she deserves.
