BULLISTIK PRETTY BOY FLOYD is now legit. OFA results are back and he is normal cardiac, hips, legg-calve-perthes, patellas, and trachea. I cannot wait for his first litter out of our RED girl, BULLISTIK JUST LIKE FIRE. Pink is also OFA certified, of course.

My ultra compact, chocolate (coco) chunk, Troy, and his equally cobby cream daughter, Sparkle. The amazing fact about cream is that it covers up all that Sparkle actually is (cocoa and tricolor).

In June of 2005, I had a brindle pied female born that was heterochromatic (1 brown eye, 1 baby blue eye) and I named her Don't It Make My Bown Eyes Blue aka Crystal Gayle. She was my first and only odd-eyed Frenchie pup UNTIL October 2023 when POLARIS was born. I never could figure out how Crystal Gayle wound up with odd-colored eyes and here I am 18 years later and still even the genetic labs can't tell me what the mode of inheritance is. They have come to the conclusion that it appears to coincide with the PIEBALD and MERLE colors. Now, in the case of Polaris (pied), her sire, Troy, has normal colored eyes for his cocoa & tan color, but grandsire, Nando, (pied) is heterochromatic. The last time I checked with Teri Church, Nando's owner, he had not produced a odd-eyed pup, and Polaris is his only grandkid with a one beautiful crystal blue eye. FYI, Polaris' damn has 2 normal colored eyes. Wonder how long it will take the genetic labs to isolate the gene(s) responsible??
