Starting Over Animal Rescue, Inc We are a 501c3 Non-Profit All Volunteer Rescue. Our Kennel License number is 13561 We have been rescuing and housing abandoned animals for 24 years.

SOAR'S mission is to offer high quality low cost spay/neuter to the public, helping to stop overpopulation of strays and feral cats. We have found loving homes for over 5000 cats and dogs. We have pulled many dogs/cats from high kill shelters, and from owner surrender to provide them with a second chance and a new life. I have personally volunteered with several local rescue organizations

and in 2014 started my rescue group along with a long time friend to help more animals find their forever homes. We have a combine 40 years experience in animal rescue. We provide education to the community on the importance of spay and neuter and provide high quality services as well as try and help anyone who have animals in need. Because we depend solely on the public for monetary donations your help is appreciated. We are also in need of volunteers. Together we can make a difference in the life of many stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. We are an all volunteer rescue and 100% of our animals are adoptable. We are NO KILL!

A note from the founder: I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for opening your homes to the many dogs and cats, and providing such loving care during their time as a foster with you. I was so impressed by the progress the many timid and frightened dogs and cats made under your guidance, and truly believe your dedication played a major role in making them well-adjusted, happy, and able to be placed in their forever homes.

We are blessed to have such wonderful and caring foster parents. Looking forward to a great 2025.

Sadly, Survivor suffered a stroke right before Christmas and the decision was made to lay him to rest. He was a sweet old man, his history is unknown, but he knew love with us for the short time that we had him! ❤️

On this GIVING TUESDAY we want to introduce you to SURVIVOR ❤️

Survivor fell from two story building in Slatington and was taken to a local emergency vet. They contacted us to see if we could give this senior boy a safe place to land.

Miraculously his fall did not cause any serious injuries. This old man is the sweetest kitty. He would love a home where he could live out his days.

This is NOT how we wanted to end our year but we are grateful that we have the ability to help this sweet soul.

We have named this kitty ENZO and as you can see, he is suffering from a severe injury. We were contacted by Valley Central with a plea to take over his care and we immediately went to pick him up to transfer to our Vet.

Originally it was believed he was hit by a car but we think he may have been in the engine of a car searching for a warm place and the car was turned on, mangling his leg. He could not undergo surgery upon arrival our vet due to a dangerously high temperature of 106.7 degrees. We have been working to get him stable and he will hopefully undergo a leg amputation Monday morning❤️‍🩹.

Despite the extreme suffering Enzo is experiencing, he is the most loving boy. Thankfully, he will now get a chance to live out his life.

This will be a very large vet bill when donations are at an all time low. Please consider donating towards Enzo’s life saving care.. every dollar helps! 🙏🏼
