Christmas Sale! All sale prices have just been significantly reduced in order to make room for next year's cria crop. And don't forget that open females come with a breeding of your choice unless stated otherwise! Choices include #2 AOA high point male Crescent Moon's Paulinus (co-owned with Crescent Moon) #6 AOA high point male Crescent Moon's Misstifier (co-owned with Rockstar Alpacas and 5S alpacas) or Paca Paradise Amerikan Hero (co-owned with 5S alpacas) who has been producing banner-winning offspring. All of the females listed are incredibly difficult to part with, but we need to keep our numbers manageable. Our loss is your gain!

Thordarson Farms has many outstanding deals on Alpacas For Sale.

We made it home from an exciting Nationals show in Indiana! We took five females to show and ended up coming home with 10 placing ribbons and two reserve championships in walking fleece. So proud of our little show string! We were also able to support a client in her new show career with an animal out of our program! We will be heading out to the California Classic this coming weekend and are looking forward to showcasing our program more and spending time with our industry friends :)

Let's talk about hay! I think we all know by now that hay prices are going to be substantial this year what with the continued drought, diesel costs for the haying equipment and fertilizer costs. For the first time we will be offering the ability to reserve some of our first and second cutting hay from our very own hay pastures. We currently have a mix of approximately 90% orchard and 10% timothy. Our first cutting should be harvested about the fourth week of June and the 2nd cutting should be the last week of August. We are anticipating that we will be charging $300 per ton for first cutting and $350 per ton for second cutting. This may change a little as processing prices on our end fluctuate, but we will try to keep as close to that as possible.

We do NOT have the ability to deliver your hay, so transportation will be up to you to organize. We also do not have a hay storage barn so all tonnage will need to be picked up within a week of cutting. If this is something you might be interested in, message either Kristian or Heather and let us know how we can help you keep your animals fed!

Such a surreal situation to say the least. We sit in a beautifully irrigated valley pouring on the water while we watch just NW of us a fire raging out of control through dry desert. Shades of 2020....fingers crossed it doesn't get that bad again.
