Sunday is the day to commemorate your favorite furbaby. All Fired Up in West Lafayette is hosting a special day for the Paw Support Network who will be donating the money raised to us and Crystal Creek Kennels to assist in the vetting for the hoarding dogs! From 12pm to 5pm on Sunday you can get a paw print made of your dog.

The cost is $3 for the print, plus the cost of any ceramic piece you want it added to. For example, a plain tile is $5. The $3 for the print, plus 20% of the purchased piece will be donated to us! They have a huge assortment of items to choose from, such as ornaments as pictured below.

It's not too early to start thinking about Christmas presents (or is it?)! Bring your pooch and and get a paw print on a vase, mug, picture from, plate, tile... Endless possibilities!

Two coyote attacks on pets over the last week in the Lafayette area have prompted a Purdue University veterinarian to urge pet owners to be aware of coyotes as a potential problem. “We've had at least two cases (of coyote attacks) in the last few days come to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital,” says Steve Thompson, veterinarian and director of the Pet Wellness Clinic at the College of Veterinary Medicine. “They are not that uncommon in the rural areas. Coyotes have been there a while and established themselves. The two recent early-morning attacks in a city location are somewhat unusual and a potential concern.” http://bit.ly/1tm01ZY
