Exciting News!
We officially closed on our new property in February 2025! With this expansion, Justice for Samson Animal Rescue is one step closer to saving even more lives. But the work has just begun!
✅ Phase One: We completed fencing in the first acre, covering $2,700 out of pocket. We still need $425 to finish paying the contractor.
🚚 Moving Costs:
U-Haul rental for appliances: $50
Labor: $200
Transportation for dogs: $200
We currently have $350, leaving us short by $525 to cover all expenses.
Every donation helps, no matter the amount! Since this platform takes 30 days to pay out, we also accept direct donations via:

Progress!! Fence is almost complete. When you donate to us. Everything goes directly back in to the rescue . Most of the time. I only ask for dog food when I absolutely have to .
But your monetary donations can help us with projects such as fencing in the 1st acre of our new property. I paid out of pocket for this project $ 2700.00 dollars. I cut short on t post and had to beg for 20 more re. Thank God 1 person sponsored that 179.00 bill.
Now it's crunch time. I need another 250 to add to the funds I have left to pay the contractor and his crew. Then I need another $ 50.00 to rent the uhaul to move appliances and big items. I've already moved some things myself. I have maybe 2 more loads for my van.
The biggy is moving the dogs and kennels. I took 4 empty kennels over and scrubbed them. They are set up for the first load. It will take 4 loads of dogs and kennels to move everyone.
The new property is 50 min. I can usually get two trips out of a tank of gas. Cost about 50.00 per tank. So another 1-150.00 for gas . Then I have to pay my helper. 200.00
So I need about another 650.00 to complete this first project. I need to get the dogs to a safe clean environment ASAP.

🚨 URGENT: Fosters or Homes Needed for 4 Dogs 🚨
A heartbreaking situation has unfolded, and we need your help. Four Golden Retriever mixes, saved as puppies, are now in crisis after being abandoned by the rescuer who promised to help them.
Their foster, Mary, a kind-hearted animal lover, has done everything she could—paying for their vet care, vaccinations, and even an amputation for one dog, Bunny. But Mary isn’t a rescue, and without support or resources, she’s struggled to find them homes.

This Christmas, Sable's dream of having a family to love has been fulfilled, and she's overjoyed to be staying with her foster family.
When you put your trust in God. He always blesses more than you ever expected. God sees and knows the struggles. He is my provider.
We are moving toward the goal! We pay the lender fee Friday, Survey to be completed Monday. Without God I could never have come this far!
God's not finished yet!

Sable’s Great Adventure: A Husky’s Tale
Yesterday started like any other day. I watched Mom leave, probably off to do human stuff that I’m not allowed to help with (ridiculous, right?). Anyway, with nothing better to do, I decided, "You know what? A cemetery walk sounds perfect." I mean, what better place for a solo stroll than one full of interesting smells and spooky vibes?
So there I was, minding my own business, sniffing every tree and inspecting each gravestone, when suddenly, a stranger appeared. "Hey, want a ride?" he asked. Well, you know me—I love car rides. Wind in my fur, head out the window, slobber flying everywhere. The dream.
So, of course, I hopped in! But… after a while, I realized, "Wait a second, this isn’t taking me home to Mom. What’s the deal?" I had to take matters into my own paws. I waited for just the right moment, then zoom, I escaped like a true canine ninja.
Now, I found myself in unfamiliar territory. But I’m a husky—adventure is my middle name. I wandered until I found a cozy porch. Not my porch, mind you, but it looked friendly enough. So, I made myself at home. The people who lived there were super nice, even let me crash for the night. Pretty comfy, too. I could get used to this life.
But just as I was dreaming of becoming a porch-sleeping, snack-receiving local legend, guess who showed up? Yup, Mom. Bright and early, looking like she had been on her own wild ride trying to find me. I greeted her like the loyal (and slightly mischievous) husky I am.
All in all, not a bad day. 10/10 would do it again.

Moe’s story is one of both heartbreak and resilience, a journey that began on the streets of Houston and ended tragically but with love. When Moe came into the rescue, he was a shadow of himself—a malnourished, heartworm-positive Rottweiler, stripped of his fur and spirit, living in fear of humans. Each day, Moe would rush out of his kennel, do his business, and return to the safety of his shelter, avoiding any human touch. He had learned that the world was a dangerous place, and trust was a luxury he couldn’t afford.
But I saw past his fear and brokenness. I approached him gently, letting him sniff my hand, offering treats and kind words. For three months, it was a slow process, filled with small steps. Then one day, Moe allowed me to pet him. Eight months later, he gifted me with his first kiss—a moment so powerful that it brought tears to my eyes. From that day on, Moe’s Rottweiler personality began to shine. He would visit other dogs in their kennels, seek me out, and demand his daily kiss. I had done it—I had given Moe a chance to be the dog he was always meant to be.
When Moe was finally heartworm-free, it was time to find him the perfect home. I found an adopter who seemed ideal—she had the space, the love, and the understanding that Moe needed time to trust. For months, i prepared her, explaining the importance of patience and the need for Moe to be kept on a leash until he could adjust. She seemed ready.
But just one day after arriving at his new home, Moe got loose. He was hungry, scared, and running for his life in a strange place. Despite the efforts of neighbors, trappers, and even drones, Moe remained on the run for three weeks. His adopter hadn’t provided for him or shown him the love and care he so desperately needed. In the end, Moe was hit by a vehicle and died—far from the home I had hoped he would find, far from the safety and love I had promised him.
The loss of Moe was devastating, a failure not of love but o
