Custom knives
I want to thank Justin Wilson for the wonderful leather work of a picture of my Fox red Labrador retriever who passed away in February. I was honored to be her Kahu (pronounced Ka-hoo in Hawaiian I believe). She was a beautiful dog and an awesome bird dog and a family companion. I sure do miss her. Justin does custom leathersmithing and custom knives. Look in the comments section for his information. Thanks. Steve / Dogs of the Feather
Spell, a black Labrador retriever and Maggie, a black and white German Shorthair pointer was out at the field working with me on various training. Both are very dogs who have very nice human partners.

I am truly blessed to be in the dog training business. I get to meet some wonderful people in all walks of life. I just...
“Life is good when it involves dogs!”
Hanging out at Starbucks on a Sunday evening. Katie ll, Molly land Sky. Storm decided to stay home instead of hanging with her sisters. She’d rather be dreaming about this upcoming dove season.
Annika was out yesterday at the field working with us getting Slyvie and Romi tune up for some upcoming trails. It was fun. Proud of all of them.
Had a wonderful time with Spell, a Black English Labrador Retriever yesterday at Dogs of the Feather.

Over the years I have become Facebook friends with a lot of you. Some of my Facebook friends are dog trainers whether it be Professional, novice or beginners. I want to convey to those who have a business as a trainer (earning money making a living’) that I will never criticize your training methods, techniques, actions, or the words you use when you conduct your business. Some folks have different techniques and methods and some follow others who have come before them. The bottom line is most if not all get the job done. I am writing this to tell you that I will not engage in trying to prove their words, methods, or techniques wrong, ever… or have them have to defend their training. I too expect the same back. . What works for me might not work for you. I am dazzled by someone’s words or by someone’s brilliance. Dogs don’t give a damn how smart you are and really and neither do I. If you’re a professional trainer I have the upmost respect for you. Again you don’t have to be the most intelligent person in my world to gain respect. You only have to be respectful. If you’re a novice or a beginner I wish you well, and keep up the good work. And too all the dogs out there. You don’t have to be a bird dog to be a “bird dog”. Have your guardians read the article titled “OUTLAWS “ that appeared in Gundog magazine months back. A deaf bird dog don’t give a damn about words, but they will sure listen to your actions, (body language).
In closing if I offended any trainers unfriend me. That’s okay, but I always appreciate reading your comments. I just don’t have time proving a point or arguing with any one. Over the years I have had thousands of training sessions. I have never had a dissatisfied client. I love my clients and some of them have went on to become good friends That’s what I care about. God Bless you all.
If you live in the Fairfield, Solano County, CA area please help find this dog’s caregiver. Hopefully the dog is not an abandoned dog. Thanks to everyone in the area.

Chuck and Scottie was out at Dogs of the Feather this morning and Chuck and Scottie, who is an English Setter will be working with me to tighten up his whoa, which will help him mold into a outstanding bird dog and pointer. I look forward to the next few lessons with Scottie and Chuck. Scottie is one handsome three year old.
To all the girls I love besides my wife of Course!Storm, Sky, Katie ll, and Molly ll.

Molly ll started her gun break process at 94 days (13.4 weeks). The 209 primers were used while running down a feathered pigeon. I’ll have video of her hopefully this evening. It’s hard to hold the camera, the 209 blank pistol and launch a feathered bird out for her. Not enough hands. She did a fantastic job. I am very proud of her. The first picture is her with her sister Sky.
Katie ll you are a beautiful Chocolate Labrador Retriever.
Molly ll trying to get a modeling job. I told her GunDog magazine cover would be great. Anyone that works there please tell the big guy we are looking for a call. No kidding she’d make a good cover girl.
TOPGUN…hair on fire!
Molly ll hammering away on her bird dog training.
