Huge opportunity for him to learn the ropes 🚎
Depending on the person, we offer single day, five day, and seven day packages. Get right into the belly of the beast. Better be ready for long days, short breaks in between and a chauffered ride.
Dylan will be on a 9am-9:30pm run. Had one shadowing complain about a full day. Luckily, they do not have a business just yet. (Stick to 9-5ers)
He flew in from #Arizona late last evening! ☀️

No Holiday off for us! Early AM was a session speaking about husbandry and conditioning our dog Desmond here to be desensitized as well as rewarded for all the spots vets and groomers have to touch. He can be fussy, especially his paws.

Had a rain day so we introduced basic notework to Roscoe's list of behaviors and activities. Salt shaker method goes from one, then two, then four card monty....following up with hide & seek games throughout the home for fun...very fun process.
After some conditioning, their choice of odor/scents will be added. Many use their own scent while others use various things. Some have turned to shed hunting, others use their children's scent then add air scent tracking to a higher skillset.
This type of activity works the dogs brain and gives a sense of accomplishment, satisfaction, and satiates drive for a calmer dog daily.
-While we can make these methods much more complicated, keeping it simple is the cornerstone of adding layers of difficulty later. 📊🧠📈

Visit to Kankakee Community College for a session with Buckeye at the local dog park. 🚸
Dog Parks can be notorious for preventable accidents as well as unpreventable ones. Dogs need to understand behavior around doors, fences, and other places where human and canine traffic collide. We encourage families to do some reconnaissance before letting their dogs enter.
Buckeye is a therapy dog for Clove Alliance so he needs to be able to handle any environment. 👌

Khaleesi had her first location session after her basic commands and boxwork was done in their home. Safety is a huge factor for public training. Our dogs need to pass tests before entry. 📝

Thor went from another trainer to us. Started all the way back to square one; recreating foundation. He's hyper, impulsive, high prey drive, and overly social. We used his traits in the training, but also gave small corrections in between large rewards.
Now he has distance/duration in commands.
Location Session for him at Runnings Stores. Find us there today (AM) for class!
Appreciate them taking the time for a second trainer because many get burned out from results. It's OK to have a second chance. Whether lack of education or lack of chemistry it's OK to seek alternatives. WHY?....

Families will be become amateur trainers. Some of them become more skilled than the ones who run successful big box stores. 🤷♂️
Experience, once the theory is laid out brings a bit more confidence once training wheels are off. Board & Trains are great, but "education of the owner" takes a back seat until the dog returns.
While we use in-depth work, we try to keep the definitions and terminology easy to understand.

Staying local is our goal besides traveling to schools and workshops. From volunteer work, school assembly, demo at events, but especially direct into the homes of Iroquois, Kankakee, and Ford County families. We will be HOME more!
