Congratulations on New Champion Heritage Old World Charmer, aka Lisbon! (Mowgli x Basia). And entirely owner handled! WAY TO GO DAVID AND LISBON! We couldn't be prouder!

"All I can say is that it has been an emotional roller-coaster of a weekend. But I will say that the HIGH was winning back-to-back majors to finish Lisbon. He worked so hard and was so patient this weekend, as was Anjo and Simao- Thank you for your love and support. And for my cheerleaders Mary Brinkman and Linda Dryden. September of this year the lives of all in our family changed forever. Our youngest granddaughter, 10 year old Dezmun, was diagnosed with Fibrolamellar HCC, a rare and serious liver cancer. We have had friends and family fight and win, fight and lose to cancer, but never a child. Life has become a series of missed days of work, interspersed with mad scrambles to help when she goes in for a sudden unexpected hospital stay after a fever spikes and her white blood cell count is too low and the only place there is a level of safety is the hospital.
While our hearts are breaking and our stomachs sick with anxiety we pray, keeping a positive outlook for everyone, but especially Dezmun and her older sister, 13 year old Haiden who let her little sister shave her head when her own hair fell out. They are a most amazing family, getting up every morning putting one foot in front of the other, trusting that our Father in heaven is with them, that his promises in Revelation 21:3-4 will come true, and that all these things, tears, death, mourning, outcry and pain will be done away with.

So proud of this youngster just turned two, Heritage Anu Desert Storm (Ch. "Mowgli" x "Basia SC"). Two BOB's, one BOW's and this Group 3 over some nice specials! Thank you Mari Lynn Davisson! And congratulations to Anu's wonderful family, Barbara and Derik! Great job team!

Mowgli finished his Championship with a Win on Saturday the April 10th with a limited showing career. Thank you Juliet Clendenon for your expert presentation! He took a ribbon almost every time he stepped in the ring. Here is his official New Champion win. Unfortunately we don't have a picture of the Best of Winners win that our daughter Emilie got with him on Friday, April 9th at Apple Valley Kennel Club show in Victorville Ca, when she unexpectedly, in sandals and a sundress, ended up with a Best Of Winners! Still, congratulations to Mowgli and our sweetheart of a young woman, Emile Holmes and her supportive and loving Husband Jason for being with her during all this doggie 'fooldoggery'. Forgive the silly colloquialism, but for non dog show people it can seem pretty ahh, 'unique'! 😜
