I've been really negligent. Jasmine and Joshua are now 12 weeks old. Jasmine learned how to climb over the fence, then her brother cried, so I let them both out. Then they learned how to climb the steps to the bedroom. Now Jasmine is almost ready to jump up on the bed. But I was busy with the county fair and haven't taken photos. Wow! I don't know if I've ever seen Dr. Vicki so excited as when she examined Xylo at his 6-week puppy well check. She called all of the techs into the room to check out his eyes. She'd never, in the 20+ years she's been checking out our Cockapoo puppies, seen one with tai-color (blue/green/brown) eyes. Xylo had his first mini-grooming earlier in the day, too, and his merle buff coat really showed off his markings, which are usually hard to see in a light-colored coat. Vicki said I should charge more for him. LOL. Not gonna happen. All puppies , in spite of coat or eye color, are all of equal value! Xylo's brother has one try-color eye. Other than that...perfect heart, lungs and bite. These are pretty mellow little guys and the last litter for our Xena.

We're down to the final five available puppies for 2025.

After 20+ years of Stews Poos, Wally and I are getting older and caring for the pups is getting more difficult. We plan to retire from breeding soon. Next year we will be down to two breeding females: Zoey and her daughter, Jozee. Xena and Obie will be spayed/neutered in the coming months and re-homed.

All of these puppies come from moms carrying the merle gene. Xylo and Xandro (both male) each have a blue eye - one right, the other left. They are very good-natured little guys. Although they’ve had me moving furniture in the past few days after they escaped from their crate and settled in the a nap under the couch. Xena was a very unhappy mama dog.

Juliet also has a blue eye. She and Joshua are the smallest two in the litter, so I think they’ll be closer to 10-12-lbs. than 12-15. Joanna seems to be the ring-leader of the gang and is definitely the most social. The J pups had their vet check yesterday. Dr. Vicki said they were all “perfect.” The first mini grooming and final portraits will be either Monday or Tuesday of next week.

I took Obie over to Sabrina's house today to meet his son and have a play date with Millie. So exiting. It took 2 of us to handle 3 dogs, but I got a photo of Dad, Mom and baby Marty (who is still available, price reduced to $1500). He's such a little sweetie and really needs a home.

Jozee's puppies will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Two of them, Jayda and Jake, have been claimed by their excited new people. They'll be ready to move into a fenced area with new toys and real puppy food in a few days.

RE-HOMING Haylee. 3 1/2-year-old female, 5th generation Cockapoo. 10 lbs. Blue merle and white, partial blue-eyed. Smart. DNA tested. Spayed. Haylee is very attached and loving with her people but not so fond of dogs in the home who get attention, which is not a good fit for our environment. No fee to an approved home.
