Can a business have a unifying theme for an operational year? If so, I have one for 2024.

"It takes a village."

I couldn't be happier with the unprecedented growth that came about for Lucky Larry's in 2024. I owe so much of it to the spirit of collaboration and the Village People (gay pun intended) who propelled me forward.

The short list:

* My kids and their mom
* My fiancé/barkuterie board expert/booth setter-upper, Josh
* Debbie, my booth partner at Painted Tree
* Tamayta Spice Shop for selling my products
* The employees at Painted Tree
* Vendor show organizers
* Other vendors who understand the grind
* UBT (where I continue to enjoy my big-boy job)
* Assorted friends who lent a hand or stopped by the booth for a Dave hug
* Other quality brands with great products

One collaboration stands out though, and it's the one I've enjoyed with my customers since 2019. Many of you have been with me since the beginning and have told your friends and family about Lucky Larry's. That's the kind of collaboration that every small business needs to survive and thrive.

The vision for 2025 is clear — more collaboration. You'll see me partnering with some incredible brands this year to provide more quality products. I've searched the Earth for the very best things for your pets (yes, even cats!) and will be bringing more of them to you very soon. Don't worry — I'll still spend most of my time in the kitchen baking these addictive dog treats!

I got to take a little break from slinging treats to talk to a camera.

Shop the Blocks at Union Bank Place was a fantastic event last night. Now on to the Nebraska Holiday Market at Sandhills Global Event Center on Sunday! See you there!

Shoppers began at the Rococo Theatre on 13th and P streets, before spending the next several hours taking advantage of the deals.

Great Painted Tree shopping advice from a vendor I quickly made friends with! It’s such a fun store; go see it now and watch it evolve!

Lincoln you killed it! Pro-tip: there ARE shopping carts at the entrance but they are outside between the store and the salon. Grab one! Also, wear comfortable shoes. Bathrooms are up front! We are not full yet but each week will bring new vendors! And this is the crazy part: we are OPEN 10-8 DAILY except Thanksgiving and Christmas! So really every day! Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday! That was fun!

Folks, Lucky Larry’s has a storefront now. My former neighbor across the back fence contacted me less than two weeks ago about sharing a booth in Painted Tree Boutiques. After deciding a week ago to do it, we went into hustle mode and got The Back Fence Boutique all set up in space C12 — just in time for tomorrow’s store grand opening. And, just as remarkably, I’m almost ready for farmer’s market on Sunday too!

It's time for a much-needed break from the farmer's market this weekend.

But don't worry — Dave will be back for the remaining three October markets to close out the season. Plus, Lucky Larry's will be at 7 different vendor shows in November and December, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to fetch treats for your dogs! (Stay tuned for the schedule, coming soon.)
