I had the pleasure to see an old client from 2019 today, Kuro! He has moved, and he has a four legged brother to play with. I ask his mom if she thought he remembered me, she replied, are you kidding, he doesn't snuggle up with just anyone. I love this guy.

Cooper here learning the 'Leave It" command and offering good choices!
Think about if you're out walking and come across a snake or something dangerous, or you drop a bottle of asprin. You want your dog to leave it alone, and back away. Nice job Cooper!

Group class wk #4. The dogs are at different levels, and some are achieving task beautifully, others are in the beginning stages. Never get frustrated, just slow down and try it again. I have a, can do attitude! Nice job everyone.

Teddy has been with his new family about 2 months now, and he is beginning to settle in and learn the basics. When you bring home a new pet, you want them to feel loved and safe and you'rebuildinga bond! It's also the perfect time to set boundaries and rules. I'm super proud how this guy is adjusting.

Group Class wk #3 and they are finally calming down. No barking, no reactivity, so we can now move on to the next step. Everyone did a great job with pass-bys and weaving today. Woohoo!

SPCA Florida has 47,000 lbs of free pet food to be distributed Sunday, November 10, from 9am – Noon on our campus at 5850 Brannen Rd, S. Lakeland, FL 33813.
Every Polk County Family will receive up to: 4 lg Bags of dog food, 1 lg bag of cat food, bone broth, box of litter, and a bag of dog treats, while supplies last.
Up to $7,000 in MATCHING FUNDS is being donated by a generous animal friend. Please help us care for our hurricane animals and their friends by matching this donation. It will mean the world to those in our care and those who are arriving daily.

Since the hurricanes, my plants are going through a growth spurt. My Queen of Night bloomed last night but I missed it. The Brassavlo Nadossa Orchid smells heavenly at night, but has no scent during the day.

This is a great read, not just for puppy socialization but also for how it can affect adult dogs as they grow and mature.

I offer a 5 wk Puppy Kindergarten Course, private at your home, where the good and the bad take place. When your puppy is comfortable and not looking over their shoulder in fear, they can learn. They can retain and repeat these actions. Puppies need to have fun, they need encouragement, guidance, and lots of praise!
