Ty's Bunny Barn We are a small Rabbitry located in Columbia, Missouri. We breed Tan and mixed-Tan rabbits. Our Tans come from Grand Champion stock.

Our Bunny Family

Our first rabbit was a gift. A pet that belonged to a friend who no longer wanted it due to the amount of care needed, and they gave it to Tyler Christmas of 2016. As many new bunny parents, we learned through a bit of trial an error about their needs. We wanted our new bunny to have a “friend”, so we purchased another rabbit from a pet store and they soon had babies. Well, Tyler was hooked. He adored those babies. And caring for and spoiling them gave him a great outlet for friendship, responsibility, and learning about animal husbandry and even genetics! Over the last three years, we have learned SO MUCH about rabbits, expanding our family and attending shows with our Tans. We’ve converted our garage into a Bunny Barn, a room in the house into an indoor bunny play area, and built a bunny-safe garden for them to romp and play in the backyard. And while they produce a LOT of p**p, we have turned that into a positive, collecting it for use in compost and gardening.

While the barn is Tyler’s endeavor, breeding decisions and daily care are overseen by “mom”, an experienced wildlife rehabilitator and evolutionary biologist.
