A Veteran’s Objective
I (York) spent just under thirteen years of active duty in the Marine Corps, I held multiple billets from Rifleman to Platoon Sergeant. When I received my 1st Civ Div orders I found myself lost and had several issues that no doctor or counselor could really help me with, or I flat refused to listen. I looked into getting a service dog, put on several waiting lists, was told there was a non-refundable deposit, oh and there was no guarantee the dog and I would bond. I was told about another organization by a fellow Marine Veteran and they didn’t require anything but my time and dedication. These guys where exactly what I needed, from there training and guidance I departed and started A Veteran’s Objective (AVO) with our objective at giving the training and help to our Veterans and First Responders as well as our fellow citizens who need help. We started humble but have only the sky as our limit to how far and how many people we can help.
