Everyone always says that dogs always go too soon and are never around long enough. It’s one thing when they get to an old age, but when they go young, it hits a little different.
I acquired him at 9 1/2 months as an energetic, goofy and fun loving pup. Training took a while because of his personality and after a failed attempt at his canine good citizen because he was too friendly, he was able to become a Therapy Dog.
His show career wasn’t as much as I hope for. Again his friendly personality and goofiness caused him not to keep all four paws on the ground, and just being a goof in the ring. Not to mention shows being canceled due to Covid.
Started having issues with his sight. Notice issues back in May while we were camping and seeming to run into stuff that was in his peripheral. Unfortunately things progressed quite quickly over the last couple weeks. Despite his vet check in October with no issue on bloodwork or his eyes. Was having neurological issues in addition to not wanting to eat or drink the last couple days. He crossed the rainbow bridge January 8th 2024. Truly a devastating loss. I know he will be missed by many people, including the better part of the staff at Honor Health Deer Valley.
