Adobe Animal Hospital opened in 1964 with one vet and a mission to serve the pets and owners that came through its doors. Now, we have two locations and more than thirty veterinarians as well as an extensive and able staff ready to assist you and your furry, feathered, amphibian, and reptilian companions. We offer our full service care and are available 24/7 for your pet emergencies at our primary

location in Los Altos, California, and proudly opened two additional facilities, Adobe South Bay and Adobe Veterinary Marketplace in Los Gatos, California, in March 2015. Our South Bay facilities in Los Gatos are open daily and Adobe Veterinary Marketplace includes all things necessary for your pets’ food and therapeutic needs. Summer might be winding down, but the heat sure isn't! This is our friendly reminder to ensure your pet (and you!) stay hydrated! 💦
Signs of dehydration in pets include (but are not limited to) dry nose, excessive drooling, lethargy, sticky gums, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. If your pet exhibits any of these signs, please contact us right away.

Welcome Back to Adobe Dr. Stephanie Hui! We are so excited to have Dr. Hui back at Adobe after attending the Royal Veterinary College in London! Dr. Hui grew up in the Sunnyvale/Cupertino area and previously worked at Adobe as a Veterinary Technician. Dr. Hui graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2023 and then went on to complete an Emergency and Critical Care-focused internship at Arizona Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center. Her special interests are Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, and Analgesia. She practices a Fear Free approach to patient care and is Fear Free certified.
At home Dr. Hui has two cats: MiuMiu, a petite black cat, and Pumpkin, an annoyingly inquisitive long-haired orange tabby. Dr. Hui also shares her home with Sheldon, a red-eared slider turtle.

Hello, bunny parents! We wanted to let you know that Adobe is now carrying the RHDV2 (Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease) vaccine at our Los Gatos location. To keep your bunny as safe as possible, we encourage rabbits who are housed outdoors or exposed to other rabbits through boarding, rabbit shows or other rabbit social events to be vaccinated for this disease. Call or chat online to book your appointment. Appointments only available in our South Bay location for this vaccine.

Dr Mckenzie was recently interviewed by Dr.Mansum Yau of West Coast Veterinarian Magazine about Adobe's open hospital. When Dr Dave Roos founded the hospital in 1964 it was with the open hospital concept that pets, and their people do better when they are together. Dr McKenzie shares that he has been practicing in the open hospital for over 20 years and has found that it builds the client and patent relationship with the doctor. This month Adobe turns 60! Adobe was founded in 1964 by Dr Dave Roos. When Dr Roos began as a one doctor practice, he saw dogs, cats and horses. The original practice was located at 396 First St in Los Altos. The team expanded and outgrew the First St location. The practice was then moved to its current location in 2010, and the Los Gatos location was added in 2014. From the beginning Adobe was a pioneer in patient care and was one of the first hospitals to be an Open hospital, meaning pet parents are welcomed to be with their pets during exams and treatments! The Open hospital concept is still a corner stone of who Adobe is. We have seen what a difference it makes for our patients. Today Adobe has 19 doctors and a wonderfully caring support staff! Adobe continues to thrive due to the entire community of pets, pet parents, doctors, hospital staff, and remote team. Looking forward to the next 60 years!
