It was a picture perfect whelping! 7 boys and 3 girls were born yesterday afternoon and Momma Misty is proving to be a excellent mother! Between her natural instincts and watching Revvie, she knows exactly what to do!
Poor Benly, the girls are in season and he can look but not touch! 🤣 If all goes well, this time next year he'll be a very happy guy!
Moose (yellow) continues to live up to his name at 19 lbs! 😂 He's doing a great job on the leash!
Cody (green) and his big brother Jake. Jake is one of Bella's puppies! 🥰
And one more! Gracie (miss purple) playing with her big sister Bailey. I love how Bailey gets down on Gracie’s level and lets her think that she’s winning! lol
And Bug (brown) playing with her new big sisters!
Here is Ruby Rhue (little red) at her home, being a goofball! Boy would I love to have some of her energy!
The vet came on Wednesday and the puppies were all healthy and had excellent reports! Yesterday they were a little under the weather from receiving their first boosters, so we will do micro chipping today. Also, today they will be getting their first baths as six of them are leaving tomorrow. They will surely miss each other, but many are going to homes where they have big brothers or sisters. They also are ready to get more individual time with humans as that's what they're really craving right now. This is an active bunch! Although it would be a lot quieter here by Sunday evening, I will miss them and they're silly antics!
Play, play, play! That's what their life is all about! They absolutely LOVE being outside, and it's getting more and more difficult to get them back inside! 🤣
The puppies are six weeks old today. They are transitioning to hard kibble, and like to get outside for short breaks. They are absolutely loving their play gym!
The puppies‘ first time outside!
Today is a special day, they're having their first taste of solid food! You can hear the lapping noises 😂
Who needs toys when you have each other?
Yes, they've discovered their voices and each other! If you can make it to the end, (3:42) you will see how they can wind down just as fast as they wound up!
In the mornings, I take the puppies out of the whelping box so I can clean it and replace the bedding. You can see they're all fat little sausages. 😁 Mama Revvie takes such good care of them, but also likes to go outside and play in the fresh air and work on her favorite chew toy!
Hungry puppies and wiggling tails!
Just for your viewing pleasure…..
As the puppies begin their 3rd day in the world, there isn't much going on except eating and sleeping! Today marks the beginning of early neurological stimulation, which is a series of sensory exercises that are done daily until day 16, when their eyes and ears will be open. There are both boys and girls available at this time, so DM me if you are interested in a new family member!
During the early morning hours, Revvie had 10 puppies! All 5 boys and 5 girls look healthy and hungry. A couple of the girls are a little smaller but that has a way of working out, considering they all take shifts at the milk bar. Queen Revvie deserves a big fat steak!
Well, today is Revvie’s official due date, but try telling her that! Here she is this afternoon, playing ball with Misty, and even checking the trees for squirrels! Looks like these golden buns need to bake a couple more days!
