We have a job opening for a full-time dog walker and pet sitter in the Tampa area. We are looking for someone who can assist in Seminole Heights, Temple Terrace and surrounding neighborhoods but someone who is also willing to travel to other parts of Tampa when needed. For the right candidate this position could eventually become a manager type position and eventually more.

Job Responsibilities:

* Clean up after, groom, exercise and provide care for dogs, cats and various types of pets, includes dog walking services, litter box and cage cleaning.
* Observe outdoor and indoor play to ensure safety of the pet.
* Feed and provide water based upon client instructions, which may be very detailed and must be followed exactly as given.
* Administer medications including pills, liquids, injections and IV fluids.
* Report any injuries or illnesses to manager as soon as possible, along with completing an injury/illness form to turn in.
* Respect clients’ homes and personal property when on-site offering pet sitting services, includes cleaning up any pet messes.
* Provide additional customer service as requested by clients, which may include picking up mail and packages, watering plants, altering lights, put out garbage/recycling and opening/closing blinds or curtains.
* Drive to and from each job assignment at different times each day.
* Walking dogs during all types of weather.
* Meet with clients and pets during meet & greets.
* Communicate with manager during and after job assignments.
* Check and follow schedule provided by the main office and report any conflicts or issues to manager as soon as possible but at least 24 hours in advance of scheduled sitting appointment.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:
* Must love all animals.
* MUST LIVE IN TAMPA. We only service in Tampa so for someone who lives outside of the city it would be too much driving back and forth multiple times each day.
* Be at least 18 years old.
* Have a reliable vehicle, insurance and a valid driver’s license.
* Pass a criminal background check.
* Ability to work varying schedules including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
* Very detail oriented and able to follow all directions.

Preferred:
* Previous experience working with animals, especially large dog breeds.

* Process includes an application, interview, background check and training.
* This is an independent contractor position so the employee would be responsible for paying all taxes.
* Pay is per pet sit or dog walk and will be discussed further during an interview.

Kye Denton has always wanted to work with animals and was finally able to fulfill that desire by providing pet sitting services. He has truly enjoyed all the wonderful pets he has met along the way.
