🐾 Liam, the Parvo Pup, Update! 🐾
Liam tested NEGATIVE for parvo after treatment for 6 days. This little one is such a fighter. Welcome to your new life, Liam! The next steps for him will be a neuter surgery, evaluations, and then adoption.
Thank you to Macy, our Shelter Lead, who cares for the animals in our isolation wards (and so many other animals!). Macy always gives so much time and love to each animal - no matter how sick. People will likely ask how we do not get attached, but we do. We might be the first and/or last kindness some of the animals receive. Liam knows he is VERY loved, all thanks to Macy and her team!
It's often emotional, difficult work that doesn't receive the public's gratitude so please let Macy and the team know how much we appreciate their dedication to the homeless, lost, and unwanted animals of Weld.
Liam's cost of care is estimated at $2,000. We are only about $500 short. Any donations that don't go toward Liam's care will go toward the next Parvo case. ❤️
We are at capacity.
Our intakes have increased by 45% from the same time of the month last year. We believe this is from people returning pets adopted during COVID and the increase of strays after the tornado. No matter the reason, we need an increase of adoptions.
We are dedicated to placing every healthy and safe animal in our care. Even our offices have animals while we find more spaces for them.
Until the end of the weekend, we are having an adoption special. Let’s get these animals homes! Pictured here is Cosette, a 3 year old Saint Bernard mix.
If you can’t adopt, please share and/or sign up for foster. Email Bria at [email protected] for more info!
