Are you a voting member of Buffalo Greyhound Adoption?

Buffalo Greyhound Adoption (BGA) is a registered New York Not-for-Profit Corporation that is managed by its Members under its charter. While day-to-day decisions are made by BGA's officers, committee chairs, and Board of Directors, certain important rights and key decisions are reserved exclusively for BGA's Members. These rights include electing the Board of Directors who, in turn, select the officers and committee chairs. Additionally, any changes to BGA's corporate documents or mission require Member approval.

Members are invited to attend and vote at the Annual Meeting and to obtain financial reports. Directors, officers and committee chairs are generally selected from the Membership. Members may also be asked to vote on significant decisions between annual meetings. While meeting attendance is not mandatory, Members who cannot attend may submit their ballots electronically or by mail.

The 2024-2025 Annual Meeting will be held on January 23. Anyone who becomes a Member on or before November 30, 2024, will be eligible to vote and attend the meeting.

What a beautiful autumn day to meet up and walk with a gaggle of greyhounds… plus one Galgo, one Windsprite, and one Saluki!! 😃🐕 Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful, colorful, sunny walk!! Hope everyone gets a chance to get out and enjoy the day!! 😎

Our final official dog walk of the 2024 season!! Weather permitting! Fingers crossed, it looks like it may rain, let’s hope it holds off for us!!

Drumroll please…. Here are the final statistics from the Great Global Greyhound Walk, held on September 29th at locations all across the globe!! And our BGA group that met up and walked that day in Como Park are counted in these numbers! Thanks to everyone who joined us! Meet Buddy, a 6-year-old smart, sweet and social pup who loves car rides and is looking for his furever home. Buddy is visually impaired, but don't let that fool you – he navigates life with enthusiasm and joy. Despite his blindness, Buddy gets around remarkably well and is in good health overall.

Unfortunately, Buddy's current owner is facing health challenges and won't be able to care for Buddy once winter arrives. We're on a mission to find this sweet boy a loving new home before the cold sets in.
