Non-profit, tax exempt (501c3) pet rescue organization. We are a non-profit/tax exempt corporation, (501c3). We are an all volunteer-run rescue group.

Our main dedication is to senior pets, injured/wounded pets and the frightened ones that are fear biters, that are on the euthanasia list at several different animal controls facilities. We do occasionally take dogs off the streets that are homeless, abandoned, or in life threatening situations. We operate as a foster network and rely on volunteers to serve as foster homes for our pets until they

are permanently placed in the right, responsible home for that particular pet. We depend on donations from our animal-loving community to continue to be able to help as many pets as we can. Donations may be sent directly to our vet:

We recieved a call from Marion County Animal Services regarding this sensational, little tiny, 3 pound senior. The most precious little cream puff ever! He had medical problems and was not available for adoption. Of course when they asked if we could take him, we couldn't pick him up fast enough. He was always a fave in our rescue! Such an adorable, sweet, lovable, hugable little buckaroo. 💖 ❤️ We are very heartbroken and very sad that sweet little Teddy has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 💔 We feel so lucky he was in our care for these few years. We know he had a wonderful life while he was with us. We loved him sooo much and will miss him more than works can express. 😭

Rescued by PETS IS DISTRESS OCALA, INC.

This is the way this sweet little buckarette was brought into Marion County Animal Services. 😔 Handed over to the Animal Services employee like she had leprosy! A total bone rack, looks like she's spent her life in a cage being bred, repeatedly. Lots of hair loss and that large, dreadful, super hard, base ball like tumor on her back. What an awful life this darling little Dachshund mix has had! The good news is, those days are loooong gone for this sensational little girl! She'll be up for adoption as soon as she's healthy!

Up-date, ADOPTED!

Rescued out of Marion County Animal Services by Pets in Distress Ocala, Inc. This little senior boy is adorable! All of 10 pounds, he certainly did not deserve to end up in an animal control facility. How frightened he had to be! When they called asking if we could take him, we didn't even think twice! It was an automatic, "absolutely!" We are sooo grateful to have him in our rescue. He's a super sweet little buckaroo! He has a few medical problems, just like all of us seniors
but nothing that can't be treated. 😉 He's a happy, friendly, lovable, stunning, little lad who deserves the best life and that is exactly what he will get! 💝💝

ADOPTED!!

We rescued Ella out of Marion County Animal Services. She was not doing well in the shelter. Frightened, nervous, nothing was going well for Ella. She needed out of there ASAP. As soon as we found out about her, we got her out! Before long, she was a different little girl. Animal Control facilities are EXTREMELY scary for these poor, innocent pets. They just do NOT do well. Sadly enough, when they don't show well, no one wants to give them the time of day and they walk right by. 😥 All they need is a chance! Ella is a little dream! All she needed was a little time and we were there to give her just that!

ADOPTED!
Adorable little senior boy, Taco had a home, owner decided one day she didn't want him anymore. Thank the good Lord we received a call from a friend telling us about Taco and the dilemma he was facing. We were glad to be able to take this sweet little boy into our rescue. Taco had not had the best of care, that's for sure! One thing IS for sure, he has now had the best care of his life and is in the home of a life time! Taco hit the Lotto! 💕

This is clearly a case of horrible, disgusting animal neglect/abuse. As you can see what Niki looked like before we rescued her and after we rescued her. All of three pounds, this frightened little senior has NOT been properly cared for. And for many years. Thank the good Lord, she is doing great now. She looks like a new little girl and surely feels like one! She has several medical problems but has been on vet care from day one and is doing as well as could be expected. We looove her soo much, she will be in the best hands and the best care for the rest of her life. Which we all hope and pray will be for many healthy years! 💖

ADOPTED!
This sweet little boy came from a bad environment, in pretty tough condition. Lots if hair loss, very thin and a few other medical problems. He had quite a few scars on him, one big one on his head and ear area. Luckily, nothing thank goodness, that couldn't be treated! Within a couple of months, he turned into a healthy, gorgeous, fun, happy little buckaroo! Here's his picture after he received a clean bill of health. What a little cream puff!
