It was shots day! Everyone took a long afternoon nap after that. So stressful! And the little girl kitten found her new home and was doing the meet and greet today. These fine fellows are a little over 3 pounds now and full of play. They love to wrestle with each other and then collapse together in a heap. It's a kitten version of my big cats, who are seldom far apart. These two best friends have been raised in a bookshop, so they love to be with all the people. If interested in a pair of cuddly, busy boys, please contact Precise for Paws at the page or 570-660-8639.

Friendly reminder that we are NOT a shelter. We do not have a holding facility for animals. We’ve been getting a lot of calls/messages lately asking us to take in surrenders, strays, etc. Sometimes we are able to help find a foster, but it can be difficult.

If you’re someone that’s interested in fostering please reach out!

Meet Tiny! He's been with us for over a year and not one meet and greet. Tiny is a 2 year old pit bull mix. He really enjoys playing fetch in the yard and he walks great on a leash. He is high energy and needs a home without cats. Tiny is waiting for you!

*pre-app required for meet and greets*

Remember this little girl from the other night? Well we just want to update you.

This is Oko. Oko was wandering the streets a bit confused on how to get off the road. Seeing the condition she was in, we knew she was an emergency case and we needed to step in.
Oko has been to the vet, other then her eye, she has coccidia, round worms, anemia and fleas really bad. We had several options at the vet, all with pretty poor outcomes. The surgery to remove her eye needs done ASAP, but her her little body was too weak to go through the anesthesia and we didn't want to risk it. We also had option of immediate euthanasia, but we decided to give this girl a chance. Our last and final option was to try to perk oko up and see If she'll gain weight and build her immune system up a bit. With this option, her eye could make her septic which could also result in her perishing. Out of all of these options, the last one would be her fighting chance. Currently she's being treated for the coccidia, round worms and fleas. She on an antibiotic to keep her infection down a bit and eye drops to try to keep the other eye going. In just two days our girl already seems a bit more up, including sitting and eating on her own. Although her progress is still slim, we won't stop until we have too. Oko gets a recheck soon. We are hoping she has enough s***k to get to her to a point where she will survive surgery sometime next week. For now the foster is administering different meds several times daily and giving her the best chance at survival. It's a day by day. We want to thank everyone who donated to Oko. A lot of you guys are fighting for a chance for her, and we can't tell you how much we appreciate you all for it! Until then, everyone send oko some good vibes and we will be sure to update you on her progress. Get well soon Ms Oko!

Last night we were contacted about a sick kitten hiding under someone’s garage! He’s off to the vet this morning to get checked out. If you’d like you can donate towards his care. 💚🐾
As always, thank you for your support, we couldn’t help sick kitties like this without donations from the community. 💚🐾

Bluebell came to PAWS with a canine friend and three female feline pals. All five animals had been abandoned by their owner and came to PAWS via law enforcement. The kitties were all pregnant or had recently had kittens. Unfortunately none of the kittens made it, including those born just after arriving to PAWS. They've all been spayed and are on their way to a brighter future.
Bluebell is also feeling much better these days. She'd been found with a wrapped wound on her right forearm that appeared to have been there a long time. It was badly infected and unable to be removed without sedation. Her best option for healing was an amputation, which was completed by our medical team at PAWS. She is now doing fantastic in her foster home!
Her story would not be possible without the resources in place from our donors and supporters. Please consider becoming a PAWS Monthly Donor to allow us to help more animals just like Bluebell and her friends.

Hello all! Friendly reminder that we are NOT a shelter & do not have a facility to house animals long term. We have a small handful of fosters, but as everyone knows by now from every rescues posts, we are OVERWHELMED with people asking to take in kittens, cats, and dogs. While we do not mind helping you try to find a home for your pet or for a stray, we cannot take them all. We do not have a kennel license. Our primary focus and responsibility is to help provide the funding to help them see the vet.

Precise For Paws, INC., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit run solely from donations in our community. Our mission at, Precise for Paws, INC., is to provide a better quality of life for animals. We hope to accomplish this through education, community outreach, and by providing a variety of resources to owners/caretakers of the animals in our community. We want to improve and save animal lives by promoting care and compassion.

When you visit preciseforpaws.org you will see our application. We generally try to help with the treatment portion of vet care rather than diagnostics. Your pet needs to have a clear diagnosis before applying for financial assistance. For example: the latest pup we helped with the broken leg. Her mom took her to the vet and had to get an X-ray to confirm that it was broken (About $600) once confirmed that it was broken she had to get a quote for surgery which was $4,500-$5,500. We did not help pay for the cost of the x-ray, only paid towards the surgery cost.

We will pin a post at the top with our application info in the near future and the requirements so that there is a quick reference for those to see. Thank you!

Ivy goes for surgery today! Her mama reached out to us after a complete freak accident where Ivy went to jump off of a wooden chair and her paw got caught between the slats. She broke her leg in two places and Metzgers is fixing her up. Good luck pretty girl! 💘
