EPIC REAL TALK….

I just can’t bite my tongue any longer..

WE HAVE TO DO BETTER!!

I have lost count of the pets that have lost their lives, just in this last week.

Pets are being stolen, hit by cars, attacked by other animals, poisoned, being lost by inadequate pet sitters, etc etc.. This is an every day occurrence!! Multiple times a day!!..

WE HAVE TO DO BETTER!

If your pets are allowed to roam, be aware that they are subject to whatever may happen..
Did you know that there are folks that put poison in hamburger meat and put it out to kill coyotes?? Yep!! It happens.. So what is gonna happen when other animals eat this….. It is a horrific way to die. (FOR ANY ANIMAL)
Not to mention, the snares and foothold traps that are put out..

Did you know that dog fighting is a real thing?? And yes, dogs are stolen and sold for drug $.. -REAL TALK

WE HAVE TO DO BETTER!!!

Dogs are getting out of fences or slipping collars and leashes.
When is the last time you checked your fencing for weak points??? Have you checked the collars & leashes lately? It might be time to get new gear!

If you are leaving your dog with someone, be sure to go over safety protocols with them. Check their fences for weak points and places Fido can dig out. Make sure Fido is double leashed on walks.. That means a collar and harness with leashes attached. (Double leashing does not mean two leashes tied together for a longer leash)
Don’t forget to check the kitty’s carrier to be sure it is safe to use and double check the latch before moving it with Miss Kitty inside..

Lastly, SECURE YOUR PETS DURING TRAVEL..

I could go on and on.. Just please be careful. Take care of the furkids so you don’t have to call us..

I laid in bed last night snuggled up with EPIC. Yes, I cried.. and cried.. because I was so angry and so sad for these babies..
And the thought of what might be happening to this one specific dog, broke me..
It is a common occurrence for many of us in the Lost Pet world. From boots on the ground to Page Admins etc.. Lots of tears and nightmares..
But we get up, dust ourselves off and keep fighting the good fight..

Yes, accidents happen, but MOST of this can be prevented.. Your pet’s life depends on it..

Summertime reminder that dog and cat paws are really sensitive! Surfaces such as pavement and asphalt can become extremely hot causing blisters or burns on their paw pads. Hot pavement can also increase the overall body temperature of your pet and lead to heat stroke. Please keep your pets safe ❤
