Calvin is coming to class!
I spend a lot of time building confidence, consistency, and quietness in maneuvers before asking for speed.
Feeling blessed to have the opportunity to finish out this cool dude that was graciously sent my way after receiving an awesome start from XO Horses and Cattle with Judy last year.
Nearing the end of 60 days and there have been a lot of ugly stops along the way as he gained some confidence in his feet and where they need to be but now as he is gaining consistency in stopping from a lope it is fun to see him connect the dots!
This kid 😂
This kid 😂🫶💕
Out riding today and she was sitting in the sand hanging out - I had no idea she took my phone out of my coat and was just being herself 😂😂
This made me laugh so hard I had to share it.
She’s almost 15 and one of the coolest people I know. Proud to be her mom!
Booyah!
For those guessing on what the next project to get completed would be….
It’s a panel walker! This is so exciting for me and is a wonderful addition to the barn!
Ty is my absolute hero and is getting this put together for me while I am showing!
Thank you, dear! You’re amazing and I am so blessed to have you by my side and in my corner!
Yes it goes faster! 😂 has programmable settings where I can program a full workout/warmup/cool out and goes from a walk all the way to a gallop (no, I don’t intend to use that setting - unless of course kids need to stretch their legs 🧐😂)
For anyone looking to add a panel walker - 4 BAR P was great to work with and produces a great product! Tell them I sent you! 🎊🥳
Because who doesn’t put a first ride on a colt, in the wind, with the welder, and tractor running next to you 😂
So thankful for this amazing man and his support in this wild life we live! He also comes up with the best solutions to my whiteboard drawings 😂😍
I told him he should start a Ranch Rescue business because he can visualize something and not only make a plan but execute it perfectly too. 🫠🫶
RTR Starlight Reys
This cool dude finished off 2023 strong and we have been gearing up for 2024 over the past couple months!
Though I am more than ready to get back to riding outside, I do enjoy the quality time inside as well!
Excited to see what we get done this year!
My version of roulette 😂😂 If you know, you know.
As 2023 draws to a close, I reflect back on a great year and those who made it all possible! Thankful for this life I live and thank you to my clients and owners who believe in this program we wish you all a Merry Christmas and wonderful holiday season!
Fall Cowhorse Practice Show
What a fun morning!! We had a practice show for everyone before we leave for Nampa in a couple weeks which was a hit! Thank you to everyone who came!
Give it up for the non pros that work their tails off! Denise be sliding into the weekend like a boss. 👏
If you have been around horses for any length of time or been lucky enough to train one; you know that horse training is not a linear process. There are good days, not so good days, and some times weeks go by where you just pray for a breakthrough. However, it’s all worth it when that lightbulb goes on!
I feel very blessed to be riding such great horses and pushing them at their pace to that next level.🤌💪
🔥🔥 So excited about how this boy is maturing this year! 🔥🔥
RTR Starlight Reys aka 'Yes Sir' was pretty heavy footed last year and I feel he has gained so much confidence over the winter about staying light and how to be quick footed when needed with consistency. He is starting to find his own style on a cow too!
I can't wait to see what he looks like in another couple months and I'm so grateful to be riding him! Owned by Jim Baker and Loren Macey at Red Tail Ranch in Star Idaho.
🔥🔥🔥Sneak peek of what has consumed our free time in the past few months!!🔥🔥🔥
Cold weather and snow really slowed us down - and that I wanted to paint every board before installing them, which was a chore since I had to paint them in my garage a few at a time with the heat on - so that took me weeeeeks to get done. However, I love the look and think it was worth it!
There is no way this would be possible without Ty's love, support, and help through it all and he is probably more ready for it to be done than I am!
Also, huge thank you to Jesse Disch (@Kittitas Handyman) for his help in getting the roof on in the snow!
As well as, Mr Larry Bailes for digging my water line with the use of Jimmy Watterson's excavator!
It truly takes a village and I am so very blessed to have the support that I have.
I am beyond excited for a March 1st launch date to have horses in the barn!
Stay tuned for a completion video as we dial it in this week/end! 🥳🥳🥳
2023 is going to be a great year!
